For the players that have payed for premium time but can't do anything now due to the massive drop in FPS they should be compensated for their lost time.

We may be in beta but the only reason the game will progress past it is because of MC purchases which translates to premium time, mechs, camo so on and so forth.

Why is it that every time there's a new problem or bug in this BETA game, people start asking/whining/begging for refunds on premium time?

I think they should pause it after every patch personally, just in case. Or offer the option to get it paused once.

because people dont like to get robbed.maybe tests on the test server should actually be longer.

and calling the OP a whiner is against the rules of posting.i dont see your suggestion addded to his post.

like me calling you a fanboi isnt constructive..

If the game is unplayable to you I recommend sending an email to support stating you can't play the game, and your premium time is active.

Complaining about it here won't do anything.

To anyone who thinks that people don't deserve the service they have paid for (MWO premium).

What would you do if your internet provider suddenly made it so you can't use the internet connection you are paying for, for one week, because they were "upgrading" their system and refused to reimburse you for the time they did not provide service?

Beta or not, taking money for a service and not providing said service is not a good way to operate a business.

I'm assuming that you've tried turning down your graphics settings? If not, that should increase your FPS.

Do I think specific individuals that can't play should get a refund? Sure, they should contact support. Do I think a general refund for this time period should be issued? No...

That doesn't seem to have any impact on the current fps problem. I have an 8 core machine, and a 7970 video card, I am getting 15-25 fps regardless of my graphic settings.

Trust me. These new FX cores have half the cores they claim to have. I had an FX-4170 (burnt out on me after 9 months of use) and it performed worse than my older Phenom II X4 945. They simply have cores with 2 threads each and claim each thread as a core.

Still it is pretty saddening that this patch has shot down framerates so badly. Was getting 55-60 under max settings minus shadows and AA on a Radeon 6870, and now I'm lucky to get 30 when a fight breaks out.

I'm not certain you entirely understand how CPUs work....

Also, the only time the CPU actually gets involved in producing those lines on your screen is when your video card runs out of memory and has to shunt the extra work to the CPU (If you have even a half-decent video card this isn't a problem). Not sure where I'm going with this but it is relevant to your entirely off-topic point, so...

And this is why you never ever buy anything Radeon (although admittedly the card you have is not the best by far, and we are talking about CryEngine). Nvidia master race!

I was using a AMD 7950 and I could play with max settings at 2048x1152 I did have 16gb ram and a 2600k though.

It's more to do with the cryengine I would reckon.

I'm using a laptop that plays GTA 4 on near max settings @1080p this game is way more taxing and I have had a 5fp drop since patch.

I want to be compensated by the OP for my time reading this thread.

I take payments in Cake, Pie, and Beer.

I did, they ignored my premium time comment (though admittedly that wasn't the highlight of my support request)
