So, today I was looking at Locusts to buy and I took a look at the 1M's stock armor...

I'm fairly sure that a .50 caliber machine gun could kill this thing.

Technically future tech armor there :P

That is one that I plan on never taking into SMM though

I owned one before just for the novelty, but I never played it stock. Two energy points and two missile points make for a decent light hunter build, if you use an XL to free up weight for armor, lasers and SRMs.

I just realized, I hope when they update the Awesome with weapon models they upgrade the missile tubes as well so those stupid two-tube launchers on the 9M and Pretty Baby are actually useful for something.

Not that I don't see why they wouldn't, as that's what they've done with most mechs so far. But I'm just saying.

I've been getting a fair amount of use out of SRM2 on my DDC (haven't even really looked at the S yet)
Didn't even really occur to me to try them on the AWS though.

As for why I had SRM2 on my Atlas in the first place - a combination of bigger groups of SRM not always registering well, and lack of tonnage (due to having massively upgraded my engine)

Was a little distracted in the one match - and then I had to go help my dad (try to) make windows 8.1 work - how bad was it?

Sounds like your time was about as unfun as mine.
Father got a new PC for his business, and I've been helping him try and transfer all his work from a Vista PC to a Win 8.1

Thankfully most of it has been fairly simple (once we got out of the "I-wanna-be-a-tablet!" menu.
Some of the drivers (for printers and the like) however... <_<

How sad it is, that they actually found a way to make us miss Vista.

Though in all seriousness, I did like Vista, it had several features (such as the way Photogallery was set up) that I miss having.
