For a long time I would get anywhere from 2-4 games in before it crashed at match launch, or froze during a game. Did all the usual things a geek that works in IT would try, no go. Then it stopped. Cool beans, I thought the patch fixed it.
Well it started again recently, and I did my due diligence and the only common denominator is whether I have Chrome running or not. I don't alt-tab to it while in game, just browsing until MWO takes over when it finds a match.
Just curious if anyone else has noticed this and if so is there a fix outside of testing Firefox (IE need not apply, I would rather just use my phone )

I'm having the same issue. After playing 5+ games with Google Chrome open and Google Hangout client running. I get a Memory error and both my MWO and Google Chrome crash.

..i use my googel in a window. I think that solved it mainly. But I also doupt that some crashes are linked with it. Sometimes my PC starts Chrome...and then MWO crashes.

I've had several stability issues when running Chrome and MWO. Not only that, but Chrome will take bandwidth away while you're in game due to "prefetching". I've actually switched to Opera to browse forums while playing.

runnin firefox for 6-7years now, currently on win8.1 /64bit. never had such problems u describe with chrome, and i've opened up a browser or more most of the time a game starts cause of the long searching for matches. No idea how to solve ur probs with chrome but how about just use firefox for the time u are playing? no idea if ie works without issues as well, but firefox is proof n stable ^^
