For all those who missed the Secession & House Wars era

So the Clan War era is about to begin. But what if you want to go back and play in the Secession wars era or a House War community warfare era?

We would all like to see a lot more content in the Secession wars & House Wars era. Is this era over and is it done and dusted? NO! There is no reason to abandon this era as the time line unfolds.

For new players entering the game the Secession Wars/House War era should be TER 1 (12v12 ISvIS games). TER 2 is the start of the clan war era (10v12 CvIS games).

Yes I know we didn’t want TERs but it is the only way to split the different eras and provide the new player a less complicated starting position in which to explore a (we hope to be) rich and complex game with plenty of depth, back story and progression.

How do I propose to work it?

A battle mech will be in service for certain number of TERs.
When you have progressed any of your battle mechs to that ter you can buy any other battle mech in that ter. (note hero and champion mechs may give you access early)
Inner sphere battlemechs (and IS trial mechs) are ter 1
Mastered IS battlemechs are ter 1&2
Clan Omni mechs (and clan trial mechs) are ter 2
Mastered Clan Omni mechs are ter 2&3
Mastered IS battlemechs with clan tech are ter 2&3
Clan Omni mechs with clan etiquette restrictions removed are ter 3&4
IS Omni mechs are ter 3&4…

Those starting off will start in ter 1, the (Secession Wars/House War era), where new content will be continually added.
Any Veteran pilot of whatever maxim TER can jump in an old mech or trial mech and play the new content in that mechs TER era.

No matter how the game timeline progresses the new player will not miss any era and the older player will not miss any new early era content, (which the developers have not had the time/opportunity to put in the game). This allows the game to expand linearly and well as latterly.

As well as the normal game modes there should be an option to play a one off scenario every month.

Each scenario defines a time line event from one of the main game eras.
Each scenario shows which mech types, factions, weapons/equipment and ammo limits are available for the scenario.

As scenarios get more developed and advanced,
Each era (house wars, succession wars, clan wars) can have scenarios running concurrently.
Scenarios can have more than one mission. Pilots may need to complete two or three in a row, sometimes with the same mech and ammo.

Scenarios don’t have to be fair but those playing with a handicap must be fairly compensated.
For example if you are to ‘slowing the enemy advance’ you gain a large bonus for prolong the time it takes for the 10v5 attacker V defender, from capturing the objective.
