That Griffin cockpit is a work of art, best damn cockpit I've looked out of yet (and about the polar opposite of the LCT-1V(P) cockpit). The Wolverine one is very, very nice as well.

Well done guys!

(please note, these are taken with cl_fov=80 and powered down. Top ones are looking straight ahead, bottom ones about 40-45 degrees down).

Both the Griffin and Wolverine cockpits are great! They have different textures that make them feel like they're generations old, scuffed and lived in.

Anyone able to post screenshots of the cockpit? They seem to be getting better on the newer releases. I'm hoping they will revisit the earlier released mechs also...

The Griffin is a spot on hit, the Wolfie, isn't bad either... and the new map is reasonably fun.

See I can say nice things, even when I'm mad as hell about just about everything else PGi is doing.

Thanks for that stjobe, appreciated.

I really like the look of them. Just like how I imagined the inside of a mech cockpit to look an adds to the feel. Cockpits of other mechs are too sterile for my liking. I really hope they go back to older mechs and give them the same treatment. I want my awesome cockpit to look.....well....awesome...

Yea, it looks good. Sort of looks like a jet fighter cockpit from the inside.

I hope so too. These are so amazing it's hard to believe it's the same team that gave us this, the LCT-1V(P) prison cockpit:

I really like the Griffin and Wolverine cockpits as well. Great field of view with all the nice detailing. I especially like the compass-like instrument on the Griffin's dashboard.

Real awesome, for 1990's era graphics, I think because all the rest of the game is so FUBAR is the only reason the artwork gets any praise. of course the art team consists of half of PGI's workforce, and sales makes up 18%.

I'm loving my Griffon. 2x LRM-15's, 2x Medium, TAG. goes 82 until i speed tweak it. and its got jump jets, its a 10 ton lighter catapult! my only complaint is why does the Kintaro get hardpoints that expand to 15 in its torso, but the Griffon doesn't?!

the cockpit is just fantastic. the view is excellent, and as a guy who usually is looking around and calling stuff out a lot, it makes my life that much easier.

Totally agree, the windows by the feet on these two mechs really give you the sense that you're floating above the battlefield.
