I thought this would be the best place to post this seeing as Nova Cat and Kurita make an alliance in the later years. So yeah who is going to change to Nova Cat colours when the Clan is finally released?

My job will be to protect the inner sphere from these cauldron born infidels.

Die Clan scum! :D

Regardless of the Nova Cats' loyalty to one of my great heroes of the franchise (which would eventually prove to be their doom), I must agree with this Unknown Pilot above me.

My life for the Dragon! :)

That said, I shall look forward to the traditional duels between true warriors .. and of course I will not complain if any Elsies or Ghost Bears would end up annihilated during a combined assault.

Well if you are going to disgrace the House you may as well do it with some style. ;-)

Beh! You know you all want to join us, besides who wants to serve a Combine full of corruption and believes ******** is a good thing against former allies?

Where is the honor in the Combine of 3145?

I believe you are barking up the wrong tree asking that here. The people who chose House Kurita did so with no intent of betraying their house. They did so, because this House inspires a fanatical loyalty the others can't quite seem to grasp. The one or two you may get that say yes, were never truly of this house. Go ask in the other forums questions like that for you will find no love here.

I do agree I play Kurita for the early alliance, not the Dark Age travesty where we Nova Cats are wiped out by them and only live on through "Clan" Spirit Cat and the Clan Protectorate.

As per Era Report 3145, locked away in a dungeon cell. :)

What is the katakana "kareeraisu" in the top right corner of the sig supposed to imply :D?
The infamous and feared Unknown Pilot of the DCM, AKA curry rice xD?

Well, like son, like father, eh :D?

Well, "Curry"-as-a-name is apparently rather popular, with "Chicken"-as-a-name being rare but not unheard-of.

Cicen Curie [Darkmane], to use the roots of each constituent name, could actually work as a not-too-strange (and thus reducing the likelihood of ridicule in school) form of the name that also honors the agreement. :)

Alternatively, Cicen Kari [Darkmane] might also work (with kari being the Tamil word from which the name of the food is derived).

As much as I have loved the clans for the last 20-25ish years, I have seen a LOT of mechwarrior players playing clans, but I have only known a handful to truly understand the way of the clans... I signed on to be a DCMS mechwarrior... I doubt I will be joining the clans, though if I were to do so I would go with ghost bear before nova cat.

Still I will more than likely remain a humble servant of the dragon for the duration.

I fear most clan players will switch because clan equipment is more powerful... It was a common problem when playing table top that the players insisted on IS rules because most clan players just wanted the clans for the tech advantage and understood nothing of the ways of the clans. Further I fear that game mechanics will not permit clan players to play properly, so most clanners will just be playing as tinks. (At least I won't be hearing calls for "no heat/unlimited ammo" in the ready room<G>

If I can budget for one of the clan packages I will probably get it, just to support the game, and to have the collectables.

Sorry this turned into a bit of a rant.

I may not be part of House Kurita but I agree with them that the Clans are to be stopped. I can not and will not be part of a dictatorial group that is trying by force to take over the Inner Sphere.

in the hands of my grand children, or even possibly their children... it is only 3050... 3145 is a long way off.
(besides a lot of battletech players still refuse to acknowledge the atrocity that is the dark ages franchise as having huge gaping holes of logic even for a franchise reset...)
