I have been writing for about a year, but for my personal use only. I have about 250+ pages of a story i hope to publish for free one day, wich is about an assasin who recues a girl, who in turn becomes an assasin aswel


Now i have always.Frikking...Loved Alien invasion movies. I always frikking loved gaint and small mechs. And these fighting the alien invasion. So yeah, pacific rim was a big highlight for me in 2013. And i am gonna start with animes soon aswel.

But for the past 2 weeks...I have been writing a scenario wich kept me writing..And this includes battlemechs from Mechwarrior. As this is pure fanfiction, and if its gonna to be released, its for free, i can use whatever i can think off.

So basically, earth is being invaded in 2020 by an alien race. Kinda of a cliche hollywood scenario. An alien race, wich i am gonna call X as i have not found a name yet, invades earth so that it can terraform earth for conquering as a new home world. The X race, employs a wide array of ground forces wich are made of organic material mostly. From foot soldiers in the form of various creatures to hover vehicles to pretty much walkers themselves, from small fast units to gaint tripods armed with lazers.. Supported by an airforce from fast fighter aircraft, to gunships to airborne ships wich acts as carriers and battleships. For a weird reason, these forces are only deployed from 4 locations. In the mojave desert, USA, Johannesburg south africa, the caucasus mountains and the north west of china.
The earth is also being terraformed in the area's that are conquered. By a sustance that can processed into many various materials, but in its raw form it emits minor but long term deadly radiation.

While earths weaponary is effective, they are caught un prepared,and with 2020, many weapon factories were shut down for budget cuts. Thus rapid production is still not present. In such, scientists are presented with some captured enemy units, wich show that they are infact, constructed from the alien sustance

In wich counter engineering is performed, in wich they unlocked various technologies. Fusion engines(Yes!), Far more effective armor plating. And because of the fusion engine immense power output, they can effectivly use laser and particle technology.

With earth in chaos, the World leaders provide funding for those who can come up with an effective countermeasure against the invaders. Some companies bring disastorous examples, like a gaint nuclear bomber. But professor YP (not fixed name) is determined that convential ways are the best to stop the enemy. In wich he takes all the avaiable technology, new and old, to construct a gaint mech: The atlas (Yes the Battletech atlas). The atlas is constructed close to the frontline, In wich they are capable of finishing the atlas, just when the X race invades Denver. The Atlas was constructed in a gaint underground hanger, origenally ment for the gigantic nuclear bomber wich was infact being constructed already in 2015. A coalition of US, canadian and mexican forces are holding the enemy off, while civilians are being evacuated. When the coalition is willing to withdrawn, US command orders them to stand their ground With the message "reinforcement is about to arrive". *how many reinforcements?? "One"

As they are ordered to fall back to a location, a massive smoke screen is erected, in wich the Atlas is being raised towards the surface. The pilot(no name found yet), activates the Atlas, wich carries 2 large lasers( one in each arm), 4 medium lasers (1 on each arm and 2 in CT), one AC20 and a Dual SRM 6 launcher. As the alien attacking force stops fighitng, bazzled by the smoke screen and 2 red eyes coming from it, so does the coalition forces. In wich they hear a electric, shizzeling sound wich gets louder and louder..When 2 blue lazer beams emerge from the smoke screen, cutting right trough 2 large tripods. The alien force, bazzled, opens fire in the smoke screen. In Wich the atlas suddently emerges, opening fire with the massive AC20 cannon, SRM's and laser weaponary. The coalition force cheers, and they fight back the attacking force.


Thats it pretty much it in a nutshell, its typed out in around 75 pages. I am now gonna work towards how the world leaders give massive funding for mech construction, with every country beginning to produce mechs of their own. In this, i am keeping certain mech designs to certain countries. For example, hunchback, orion, victor, kintaro have a certain japanese feeling, so they go to japan, while the Thunderbolt, Highlander and such, feel more as a british design.

I have a set of various main characters. With the absolute main character, i have chosen for him to pilot a Battlemaster BLR-1G. Wich has a PPC, UAC5 and 6 Medium lasers. And a SRM6. And heat problems if all those weapons are activated at once, wich he often does

What i typed above, is roughly taken from what i have written so far.


So yeah, any imput? feel free to contribute.

(When i type fast, as above, i make alot of grammer errors...half my time is spended on correcting spelling and grammar)

So you are telling me you put BattleMechs in a totally different setting?

Might be interesting. But maybe, just maybe, this thread should be in Fan Fiction

oopsiedaisy,sorry in the wrong section, sorry!

But yeah, putting battlemechs into an entirely diffrent universe. I look alot to the design in its own, and beside the GDI Titan, wolverine, juggernaut and mammoth, I find the battletech designs to be the best looking/making sense out their. And i love how MWO transforms them into new but recognisable models.

Also weapon wise. It uses technology wich exists...but in pure prototype form. Lasers? we got lasers baby. a particle cannon? rail/gauss gun?
And heck fusion technlogy is making progress aswel.

This is also, why i dont really like the gundam series, But i frikking love Gundam wing. Its more..Well, realistic i guess?


Wich is why i use Battlemechs in my little fan fiction.
I might be home for an entire month in a few months, wich i will use my time for writing this little fanfiction, and shooting.cleaning my historical firearms

So yeah, anything from idea's, to opinions, can always be sended towards me

Mmmh.. I suppose C&C 'Mechs should be less powerful and armored than BattleMechs. But they are still quite comparable

Under a bit of pressure from a friend, i decided to post a bit what i have currently written. It is still somewhat a script, as i find myself adding and removing things everyday. The following is one of the older scripts, as i added more detail and....corrected tons of spelling errors aswel.

The following is one of the climaxes. It is somewhat halfway trough the story.

In the abandond main street, the troops setted up a large defensive barricade, pointed towards the bridge. This was the only way into the city. And the scourge wanted to use it. The civilian evacuation was still in progress, and the 112th combined , had the task of holding the alien invaders off.
135 soldiers and NCO's. Supporting them, where 4 M1A2 abrams tanks. With their 120mm main cannons, they were one of the few heavy weapons that could effectivly destroy the large tripod walkers. Their armor could somewhat withstand the heavy vehicles and walkers.Supporting them, was One old M60 patton that was retrieved from storage. its powerfull high explosive warhead was welcome. But nothing was more appreciated then the 3 M109 paladin Self propelled howitzers, firing those 50KG 155mm shells. One slightly rustedM728 Combat Engineer Vehicle, carrying a 165mm demo gun, and a M110 203mm howitzer. All positioned behind concrete slabs so that they could enjoy as much protection as possible.

Captain miller, commanding this force, recieved a call from headquarters. With his african american accent, he sounded like he came straight from the hood.On the phone, was General lefour
"Miller, i need you to hold them off for 20 more minutes"

-Its about the evacuation was completed sir, i see alot of shit heading my way, ETA is 2 minutes. Decimator tripods, shredder medium walkers, Mantis light walkers..Thousands of Foot soldiers and even one big ass Conqeuror walker.

"The evacuation is finished in moments, but i need you to hold them off till reinforcements arrive. He is closing in your location, Codename "Halford"

-SIR we are taking artillery fire and the first troops are about to make contact, why do we need to stay in our position? We cant hold them off for
long. And how much reinforcements are we talking about?

"Just one.

-ONE? ONE WHAT GODDAMMIT?

"For **** sakes JAMES trust me!

-Son of a *****, OKAY boys, hold the ground, we have to hold them off.

Soldiers began opening fire at the approaching monsters. looking at eachother with much doubt. The first wave hitted them. Many 1.3 meter high, quad legged beasts, armed with what looks like a beam of light. Getting hit could leave massive burns on the impact area, even capable of cutting your arm off. The medium walkers following, began blasting plasma onto the defenders, only to be repelled by a devesating barrage of tank and artillery fire, followed by mortars. However the decimator tripods were now in range, 3 of them. They concentrated fire on one of the M1's, ripping trough its side hull, killing the engine. 4 men were picked off by the medium walkers, one of them was blasted in half....
As one of the decimator tripods moved in closer, the M728 crew noticed a small gap wich they could exploit, They moved from cover, aimed the gun and fired. The 29KG projectile flew slowly, like almost that you could watch it, but when it impacted, it created a massive blast that simply ripped the tentacle lasers off the decimator. A small victory, because the M728 came under heavy fire. One plasma burst fired from an approaching twinjet attack aircraft, broke the track, with the M728 responding immediatly by launcing smoke projectiles.
But despite all that, the scrounges kept on coming...
It was not looking good, at all. Why are we here, did Miller tought, "Are we just expendable assets?"

"SIR LOOK behind us"
Miller turned his face around, only to see one gigantic smoke screen, 150 meters away. The smoke blocked whatever was on the other side. And the Scrounge also noticed it.
"WHAT the hell, we needed that smoke for our retreat here! Yelled miller trough the radio

-Halford has arrived Miller, if you do not like what you are about to see, i will personally eat this hat. Lefour said it with a slight humorous tune.

James was about to yell again in the radio, when a large object, hitted the ground. The sound felt large and heavy..Everyone stopped firing, human and scourge alike. All looked at the smokescreen.

First, a hizzing turbine engine sound was heard, wich suddently died out after 5 seconds. A humming sound, not very loud, but noticable, replaced it. Various hydraulic sounds were heared. And a very heavy diesel engine was heard. It was dieing out, something is driving away..

When then, a weird, electric charging sound was heard. It became louder..And louder, and sounded as it was dangerous..About to explode? No about to unleash. Everyone saw the sillouhette of a big thing. It had arms.
When a large electric discharge sound was heard, and a blue projectile with a large tail, simular to the comet, came blasting out of the smokescreen. Around the projectile, or what looked like one, was a spiral like blue light, It looked like lightning.

And then, the smoke faded away. And before the soldiers and the scrounge, stood a tall 18 meters mechanised beast.. It looked human, 2 legs 2 arms, shoulders..something that looked like a small head, a cockpit perhaps.

On its right arm, in the middle of a hand, was a large cannon. The barrel was black, but the ending of the barrel, the crown, was glowing blue. It was disspiating heat and a small amount of steam. Just below each shoulder, 3 objects could be seen, with a green lens like ending. 6 of these could be counted. On the left shoulder, a missile rack with missile tubes. 10 in total, 2 times 5. and finnaly, on the right arm, below the hand and forearm, a large rotary cannon, with 3 barrels could be seen.
The mech was pained black with a slight hint of blue. With "halford" painted underneath the cockpit.

It began to twist its torso, and its arm began to aim. And by this moment, the soldiers turned their head, and could see what this beast had done. The projectile pierced straight trough the torso of the decimator tripod closest to the defensive line. A large, gaping hole, was visible, atleast 70cm in diameter. And with a slight moan, the tripod fell over, crushing several of its own troops.

The cannon on the right arm fired again, again the blue projectile wiped out another decimator. The mech aimed its torso a bit up, unleashing its missiles wich flew beyond the front line troops, straight into the enemy's artillery. The large walkers, collapsed between their 8 legs; with a large explosion coming from the plasma bulbs.
As "Halford" began to move forward, the ground began to shake with every step it took. It felt heavy, it felt loud...it felt human. The 6 objects turned out to be lasers. Each laser fired seperatly, firing a green beam that cutted straight trough a shredder medium walker.They fired in succesion, non-stop for a while. And then the might cannon began to fire. Each shell was powerfull, and it seemed to fire at 30 rounds a minute. The shells impacted straight in the enemy foot soldiers, ripping them apart, but also any light or medium walker nor vehicle, that was in its path. The shell cases ejected from the rear. It was a satisfying look.

And the soldiers could no longer control themselves...And they cheered, yelled, And began to all open fire at the, slowly retreating scrounge. They were stunned, they fired back, but the gaint beast was not impressed. It came closer and closer, and it stopped just under the army's defensive line.

"Captain Miller" said a moderate but friendly voice on the radio. "This is Captain Aaron carter, pilot of the Battlemaster mech, Model BLR-1G"P". Code AND nickname: Halford. I will assist you guys in driving back the enemy from this bridge, over.

Laughing like a maniac, Miller grabbed the radio= "YOU ASSISTING US? are you ******* KIDDING me? WE will assist you!! HAHAAAAA!

"Very well, please tell your men NOT to stand in front of my legs, and not under the UAC-5 autocannon for obvious reasons. Shall we proceed"

"EVERYONE! Grab your ammo! GRAB YOUR GUN! Let us drive these ******* from our homes!"

With a gigantic cheer, the soldiers began to come out of their hiding. Some of them even fixed bayonets. A civilian who was helping them, did the same thing with his WW2 era Springfield M1903A3 rifle.
Halford began walking forward, the soldiers advanced with it. The Particle projectile cannon thumped, the Medium lasers shredded, the Missiles exploded and the autocannon pierced. The scrounge were being massacered, annihalated...Being defeated!
