I have had lots of problems with hits not registering or registering when it looks like they shouldn't. I did read the recent technical update post from Matthew Craig, but it sounded like nothing was going to be changing, yet it seems like things did change, for the worse.
As an example, I was just in a match with my dual AC-20 jager. One round would hit, then a half second later I'd fire the second round, which was DEFINITELY on target, and it didn't register. This happened about a half dozen times. And a couple of times I saw the round go over my target but it registered as a hit. I understand why this can happen having read Mr. Craig's post, but it seems to be happening a whole lot more now.
Anyone else having these issues?

Ballistics feel the same to me. But lasers are definitely off. I have to lead the target like crazy to get them to register

I posted a comment about this yesterday but specifically about ballistic weapons.

I say it is your bad aim in a meta build

No, it isn't. I was running that build specifically to test this issue, which I seemed to be having in other builds as well. It's easier to watch AC20 rounds as they travel because they're so slow and large.

I've actually noticed something quite similar. I've always had variation on how this game performs hit detection wise, bad enough for me to just not play on some days when I notice the hit detection is worse. I've always put it down to the lack of proper servers and transatlantic connection variables, but recently something has definately changed for the worse. Now I get somewhat constantly bad hit detection, which actually seems even worse with lasers as you get used to occasional weird non detects on front loaded damage. But to me the most revealing thing seems spectating. Now when you're spectating, it's always off as the game is running and you get this what seems like host view of things, but where it previously seemed like people were making slightly odd and bad shots and missing many of their shots, now it seems like the spectated player is drunk out of his skull and playing this game for the first time.

We've looked at the telemetry and nothing is noticeably changed with hit registration from pre patch. As discussed we'll be trying to adjust our internal schedule to get some more time to investigate these issues as soon as possible.

German Player here, I have never experienced any problems since the introduction of the HSR.

Hit detection is always borked.
And so are spiders. Last night alpha striked a spider at close range - everything registered like a glorious light show, then the spider runs of will its armor only just yellow. This was face on. With no movement. No shots going past the mech; it was powered down! 100% on target, facing, ABSOLUTELY no way it could have missed.

I think the the crosshair turning red to show a hit seems a bit weird since patch. I was landing easy shots on slow movers and not showing up as a hit at all or sometimes it would turn red with a few seconds delay when i wasnt aimed at anything or firing anymore. I'm pretty sure regardless of what it was doing it was business as usual for my 300 ping and scoring hits based on my end of round damage but not trusting the hit indacation red crosshair is a hinderance. I noticed this issue the most when i was playing my raven 4X with 2x AC2 and no other weapon types
