Funny, just a few hours ago, I was trying to find a way I could get Steam to show when I'm playing MWO.

Off topic, and you may have already figured it out, but if you choose "Add a Non-Steam Game to my Library" and pick the MWO.exe file, you're set to go.
Also works with Internet Explorer.exe

Yes.

Better for both player base and marketting purposes.

The thing is that MWO (imho) doesnt seem to be ready for Steam. With its current state, i think MWO would be form of a joke for coddled part of Steam users.

Some misconceptions in here. Steam can be an alternate access to the game, does not have to be the only one. Also, Steam only takes cut of revenue from transactions performed in Steam itself (ie, buy MC with your Steam Wallet).

IMO they could do the integration work for Steam at the same time as UI overhaul. Both are needed. Doesnt have to be today but it has to happen at some point.

I don't personally care, but I don't think PGI (or IGP, for that matter) want to put this game on Steam, because then they'd have to pay Valve like, 40% of their profits or something ridiculous. I doubt they'd make up for that lost revenue with the small amount of players Steam would bring into the game.

I said no, free to play titles on Steam always bring out the worst trolls and cheaters.

Sure, thousands of new players would be great, but thousands of more trolls is also very bad.

I would reconsider my standing if PGI/IGP had more staff online to moderate in-game offenses.

True. I video captured two Atlas pilots, a few weeks ago team killing. I hosted it on Youtube, and sent them the link. Open and shut video capture of two team killers. My email response to my complaint came more than a week after I submitted the complaint and simply said, 'thanks for letting us know, but we're really busy with other things right now so we'll take a look at this when we can.'

Put this game on Steam right now and it's open season for griefers, team killers, and morons; more than it is already.
