As pointed out by a few posters, the Project Phoenix page showed that the Griffin standard variants were advertised as being available in the February 18th patch for individual purchase (whether that actually meant MC or c-bill purchase, I'm not sure).

We all figured that since those who have the Saber package already have the standard variants, this was a sure deadline to hit.

Afterall, the rest of the Project Phoenix deadlines were made. What happened with the Griffin?

Why did you make another thread when you posted in one just like it!?

Because I made this thread before I saw there was another post answering the question. I was hoping to provoke a more official response this way, but I'm not holding my breath.

I guess they figure new cockpit toys will generate more insta-cash than Mechs we were promised. After all, new toys will keep simpler minds from noticing SRMs not hitting, bugs & glitches, no Smurfy, Clan Mech details, I could go on.

We were promised these mechs? I don't believe we were. We were just told the PP releases of these mechs that's all.

My question is simply... where was this indication made?

The dates were on the Project Phoenix pages for the Griffin and the Wolverine. I don't have the images themselves stored on my computer, but they've been posted on the forums. Here's a post with the Griffin image: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__3161386

Look at the lower right side of the image where the standard variants are mentioned, and the date of February 18th is also mentioned.

Reading is cool. I like how people didn't read the fine print to actually question the customers that read said stuff. Good times.

What fine print are you referring to? I would've noticed fine print regarding those releases (I try hard to read these things carefully).

Then we got the firestarter.. Cause they couldn't possibly release TWO mechs to us at the same time! You gotta milk that stuff for every single drop.

Nice. Good to see an immediate response on this one. You're today's lucky Winner of The Internet. (<-- no, that's not sarcasm, I'm really pleased to see the swift action here)

i wish we could have the same camo. Its looks so nice but the one we have its just un finished.
PGI can the community finish up this camo and write the numbers and patterns on them ? i love to have them at all cost. Can we organize a group to do it?

or are the missing bits are Decals?
