Here's another suggestion about the new UI
I tried to make it as easy as possible to implement this in the current UI wich hopefully will reach those lazy PGI guys :D

some things that I've done here: some bigger fonts/buttons, new front page, improved mech listing and ofc the mechbay, wich is obvious how it should look.

First of all the
WELCOME SCREEN
This should appear for all new players who just installed the game.
It goes without saying that this would help beginners a lot to get into the game.

MECH LISTING

So, basicly there are two types to list up the mechs, wich is already half implemented in the game
What I'm talking about is this:

And this is what it could look like in the
Small Overview
Spoiler

and the
Big Overview
Spoiler

Both variants show everything needed

For the Puchasable Mechs I didn't make an image yet, but the small version would just list up the amount of hardpoints etc. and the big version shows everything else needed to compare mechs.

EDIT
READY LIST, why is it gone??

MECHLAB
IN PROGRESS, no explanation needed, has been suggested 1000 times

so what do you think?

That's an excellent idea. And a great presentation.

So, why haven't they hired you as a UX/UI designer? Cause you hit the nail right on the head for what's needed in that new UI.

I like the ready indicator, we have one guy who will tweak his mech forever then claim he didn't know people were ready. While we are at it though we need to be able to ready without going into that clinky social menu.
