His continuing efforts to sharpen his skills as a Mechwarrior will hold him in good stead as he reaches for Blooded Status in mere days.
Also, tonight saw a Grand Melee, involving 19-Blooded Warriors! Star Commanders Durant Carlyle and Reginulfr emerged as the newest Blood Officers within the Touman, successfully defeating multiple opponents each before the end of the Melee.
Each will add their venom and skills to our Touman, and their skill in battle shall be the whetstone that future Snakes hone their fangs upon to earn their status within the Clan!
With our 37th Trial of Position complete, we continue to seek resolute, committed pilots (whether casual, competitive or both) to add to our ranks as we prepare for community warfare.

We are soon going to be doing Trials of Possession to see who can prove themselves worthy of leading the 173rd Hussar Cluster and its component Trinaries.
I earned the rank of Star Commander by defeating two foes in my Trial of Position, but Star Colonel Durant Carlyle sure has a nice ring to it, quiaff?

They remained a mobile, precision maneuver force through variations of their lineage all the way through the Terran Hegemony and the eventual establishment of the Star League and it's subsequent defense forces in the twenty-sixth century, becoming an expeditionary arm rarely used by the SLDF during the early years of uneasy peace.
Fighting against a small scale rebellion in the Periphery during the Amaris Coup 2767, the 173rd was not involved in the initial forrays against Amaris forces closer to Terra and remained on the edge of Terran space at the behest of Aleksander Kerensky as a backstop against potential Periphery involvement in the conflict. Not until mid 2784, when the six million under Kerensky in the great Exodus, finally swept up the 173rd, would they be reintegrated into the vestiges of the SLDF after so many years spent forward, protecting the now defunct Star League from Periphery threats during the Amaris Uprising.
Hobbled by losses rarely replaced along the Periphery after so many years of fighting, the 173rd was a hollow core unit of battle scarred and tested cadre, that Kerensky would utilize to rebuild a full size unit over the years, with an extensive and combat proven doctrine of swift-maneuver and precision fires.
Often confused with the 173rd Battlemech Division, this units late inclusion in the Exodus is often masked from history, with historians of the Inner Sphere long assuming the unit lost to combat actions and the fog of war along the Periphery.
Not until Nicholas Kerensky's formation of the Clans in the early twenty-ninth century would it reemerge to prominence, with newly formed Clan Star Adder vigorously bidding for the rights to the 173rd's lineage and eventually redesignating it the 173rd Winged Viper Cluster.
Competition for Star Commander Ranks within this historic unit begin Tuesday evening, after Trials of Position for deserving Snakes and Mechwarriors, 9pm EST.
Fangs Out!

Also, tonight saw a Combat Trials involving seven Blooded Warriors seeking to increase their standing within the Touman. Star Commanders Moenrg and Michael emerged as the victors in a devastating melee.
Each will add their ferocity and skills to our Touman, and their skill in battle shall send our enemies screaming in the night, running from fang and venom.
Seyla!

Trials of Position 45 and 46 were completed with both candidates representing themselves well.
Our Combat Trial to determine Star Commanders resulted in Star Commanders Eta0h, Android5000 and Roundhammer emerging from the fray. The latter two fought down to the last teens of viable Mech percentages before the battle was decided in the best match of the night.
Immediately following (thank the Founder for Private matches) we conducted multiple 10 on 10's and 11's on 11's with lonewolf friends even joining for some of the matches at the end.

You can blame that on the forums design here as we attempt to maximize our exposure. There are House and Clan units there as well.
Players see that forum and do not necessarily come here (and vice versa) usually because they do not understand where it is best to look.
Each House has a recruiting section by forum design and yet the Clans do not even have a general subsection let alone one per invader like the Houses do.
No moderator who has spoken to me has had an issue with us posting here and there.
Thanks for the bump Grendel408.
