Hey everyone...

I currently am piloting a shadow hawk that i mainly only snipe with, because for some reason if i try to go up against others i get cored like no ones business. So now I'm looking for a mech that has a powerful engine to start with and has good hit points, fast torso twist and is quick. I mainly want to snipe and smack up others with missiles, I tend to use the ultra 5 gun with has had fantastic results for me. I have never really messes around with any lights other than the spider and cicada, i like the speed and the ability to fight gorilla style. So in short if anyone can help, I'm looking for a durable sniper mech, with jump jets to get around terrain, missiles and ultra 5 with 4 tons of ammo each and extra goodies. Is there any mech out there like this.

Please post any thoughts...

Thanks

Ok, so fast mech with ballistic and missile hardpoints, jump jets.

Quickdraw has no ballistics, but is 60 tons, has jump jets, missiles and energy hardpoints and can go fast. You can snipe with ppcs.

One of the wolverine variants (6R) seems to have all you want.

The griffin is another possibility if you can live without ballistics.

Shadowhawk fits all your criteria the best.

Those previous 55 tonners are probably your best bet.

The Blackjack-1 has jump jets, ballistics, and is moderately fast. If you are a good pilot you can make it work. It's only 45 tons though so armor is lower.

Would have answered this sooner if I didn't think this was a replica of an earlier thread of a similar title.

Raven 4X can meet this criteria fairly well with the exception of the specific ammo requirement.

But something tells me you want to take a few punches too. CaptainJZ's list -- except the Blackjack -- can meet this criteria.

If you sacrifice jumpjets, the 50 ton mechs can help fulfill this requirement as well as the Jager A and Thunderbolt 5S.

DRG-1N

There ya go.

Meets your missile and UAC 5 with ammo criteria, as well as having reasonable speed, a couple of backup lasers and a fair bit of tankiness, all in one neatly wrapped package. As an added bonus, it comes with decent heat efficiency, as well.

Only thing it's missing is the jumpjets. ;)

I considered listing the Dragon but didn't since it's known for having poorer hitboxes, plus it didn't have jump jets. Still a viable option though.

You already have the 2D2, which can fit UAC5+4xSSRM2+2xML with an XL300 engine. You can also get one of the others to put even more dakka on it. Consider the Cicada 3M for a fast support mech, or high DPS with the Victor 9S.

CDA-3M was my thought, too. Glass jaw, but can avoid being hit due to ECM if played well. Either 2PPC or 2ERLL is my preferred approach. (I dislike big ballistics on mechs 40 tons and under. Just a personal thing)

You like speed, sniping, and hitting things with missiles. It's possible to throw this all on a mech...but you sacrifice armor and will need an XL...which opens you up to dying from a side torso shot.

May I recommend the Jager JM6-A? (God, it's like I'm on a crusade I mention this mech so often).

Give this a try.

And if you find that balanced asymmetrical isn't your thing, give this a try and do missile support.

If that gets boring, try direct fire sniping. Or boomshotting.

Or brawling.

Or direct-fire support.

Look, the point is, this mech will give you options and let you try lots of stuff.

Puerto Rock Punisher

when you say something missing, its Master lvl. All mechs feel like this when they are not at least elited.

According to your criteria. All other mechs are either worse than yours or heavier class(CTF-3D).

Thanks everyone for responding, you input really helps to get a better grasp of things. Also Ghost Badger thanks for the builds for the jagermech, never thought of looking at one till i saw what it can carry, im ocd for symmetry. That is what bothers me the most about mechs in this game is how they look and how there parts don't correlate with each other. Thats just me, but i know for a fact thats there are larger issue in this game than that like hitboxes and such. Again thanks everyone for the input.

Glad it helped.

Take a look at http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/ and click on the 'Mech and Weaponstats' tab.

It's a nice, easy list of all the mechs and what they're capable of loading.
