World of Mechs would be better than Mechwarrior Online.

I think this demonstrates the two buckets the forumites fall into.

1.
Great game! I enjoy playing the result of the devs' hard work. I'm tactically flexible and am able to adapt to the changes as PGI evolves the game. I have a sensible understanding of how software development works, and a 'when it's done' approach generally results in higher quality than strict deadlines.

there is a 3 category aswell..those who have the patience and the "disposition" to wait and even invest money because they love the mechwarrior games/lore/bt universe but they still think that pgi is a money suck machine who will do everything to empty the pockets of their customers

Yea this make sense...cause it's not like they started this whole thing on their own with almost no outside funding and then kept it going for over a year before they brought their first paying option into the game....
I mean they used the whole "Kick starter" method where a bunch of people pay money for something they desperately want with absolutely no guarantee of getting what they paid for (See Oculus Rift)
They charge us every month for the game....

Wait....None of that is true...They did do the game on their own for over a year...they did't go the kick starter route and they don't charge us every month....In fact you don't have top pay anything if you don't want to and it doesn't adversely effect your ability to play......So you get to play for free........hhhmmmmm...Of course if you choose to pay for the product placed in front of you...well there you go...Free choice in action... :P

I love this game also .. just get so freakin confused about how they " adjust" weaponry sometimes it does not make any sense.
I they were to explain why sometimes they did some of these weapon fixs it might help.
RIP guass rifles for anything but a sniper build < sadface>

Making generalizations like that will always lead to an error and here is why:
1 - I'm a software developer, have been for over 10 years now
2 - I adapt my builds and tactics to what PGI changes in the game, everytime trying to find something to fit my mechs that's not part of the metabuilds
3 - I enjoy playing this game (or I wouldn't bother to still be here) and I believe this game has HUGE potential (90% still untapped)
4 - And then I QQ about some legendary fails:
a) how poorly built were some of the older maps and they never been redone, corrected or even polished) - Point being: You can see shadows on the water even if the enemy is behind a structure
:P how PGI tries to balance the game
c) how PGI (and other companies) start selling stuff while in BETA phase
d) how everytime a light comes out it is so flawed regarding hitboxes, that seems more like a god-mech
I could go on... but it seems me and others like myself are neither on pot 1 or 2... can you make a 3rd for us? :P

Meh, I was only making an off-the-cuff poke of fun about the state of things.

Maybe a chemist could make a solution using the contents of these two buckets using a dilution equation...

We're not being malcontents by pointing out all the ways PGI has fallen short of a Mechwarrior ideal.

No, we had no guarantee for founding. No one has a guarantee from the Phoenix, or the clan packs. That's part of the issue - they've pre sold this game at least three times and the main feature of the game still isn't here in any worthwhile manner. We paid five million dollars on the hopes for a galactic warfare game, not an arcade style deathmatch game. They've added a ton of ways to pay into the PGI bandwagon, but they haven't added the BANDWAGON yet.

There are way more than two, or three, classes of people. Lots of them fall into the "we got so disenfranchised we simply quit the forums and the game." Those are the voices that speak loudest, the ones who shelled out founder money and then just wrote it off.
