Ive played a long time Any Mode. I thought let it be different and let it be random but assault especially is just a campfest with lrms ppc and all the cheap long distance jump stuff. Skirmish seems to be campy aswell.

Conquest is just perfect IMO . You cant basically camp. You have to moove.

Long live conquest mode

Cheers

PS: i was using an assault .

I tend to agree...

...though there are times where PUG teams have no idea how to play conquest, run off in ones and twos to cap a point and get themselves slaughtered (this has a tendency to create 12-0 stomps).

agreed. I play on assault or skirmish when i have a really really slow mech because there isnt much walking, otherwise conqest all the way.

Oddly enough I have found that I tend to like skirmish the most now, which I had always hated. Conquest needs to have its cap speed doubled at minimum. Assault is mostly pointless if you want to play in a light.

I disagree...I love playing assault in my light, skirmish is my second fav in lights and conquest mode is my least favorite game mode, no matter what mech I'm using

Conquest is ok if you're not worried about earning cbills.

Kill 11 enemies, then protect your assets till 749 is reached. Then kill the last man standing! Profit.

Conquest is certainly more interesting than straight-up deathmatch, which is what Assault boils down to.

Are are no "game modes" in this game...it's Death Match 24/7.

In other words, there's nothing in this game that can't be won by crushing your enemy, seeing him driven before you...and hearing the lamentations of their battlemech repair techs.

The most important thing on conquest is that the teams are pretty spread.. Not a cluster ****. That makes it way more ineterresting imo. Iam enjoying the small group brawls on conquest. Reminds me of 8v8 Thou were one Mech could decide a match.
