[Average Pilot]

Not sure where to put this question, so.... Is it possible to change my user ID / handle?

The game assigned the one I currently have, and I'd like to change it if possible. Thanks!

Support will work with you as much as they can. Give them a shout and they'll explain what they'll do or whatnot

At 30 tons, I want to see that take on some mechs.

Now on a genuine note...
PGI can do special cases for changes for reasons I can't actually state, but lets just say they are very serious reasons.
However, since its supposed to become a cheap option in the future (or so they've said for over a year), they are not in the habit of just doing it right this minute unless the reasons are extremely serious.

I believe they will only change it if you accidentally (or carelessly, hey, I might have been my real name once, yeah, that was me, doh) used your real name as your pilot name.

Also, 100MM c-bills to whoever brings me the head of the imposter who got "Terciel."

Thanks guys, and yeah, it's not a terrible handle, but a little short on sarcasm and creativity for me...

Also, the drawing is great... lol. Looks like the left arm is equipped with the "Edger of Mighty Mincing" or something....

We'll have to pay for pilot "renames"? That blows.

When (if?) CW ever hits... i would have expected renames to just be "a thing", to allow for folks to show their unit allegiance, ranks, etc.

If I am not mistaken. I assume they will add unit TAGs, and that's how you show which unit you belong to.

Example:
I am in HHoD, when HHoD forms an official unit on the CW unit list, and I join, I will have a [HHoD] right before or after my username. Without me needing to change my username to be "[HHoD] IraqiWalker". That way, if I decide to leave the unit, or join another one, I don't have to repeat that process all over again.

At least that's what I remember them mentioning before as a possible thing to happen when units become an actual asset in the game.

No it didn't...
The game does not and has never "assigned" a name to any pilot ever!

If that was the case.. the hundreds of ppl who use to qq about having to re-put in all the sign up info over an over cause the "pilot name" was invalid or taken would have just gotten a "name"... and we would of had qq's threads about "that wasnt the name I wanted, why does PGI give out random names" instead of the "why do I have to reput in all this info all over again" threads..
