Hows the Patcher working? Any major difficulties? Please let us know!

- Transition to .NET 4.0 (XP users can download and install .NET 4.0 here)
- The Repair Tool can be used to resolve most issues with installation or patching.

For those having issues with the installer, please contact us at support@mwomercs.com for additional assistance.

can't patch 6/3. apparently the servers are still under "maintenance". can't run Repair tool either because "servers are down". basically the same message as when trying to access mwo during actual updates, but the actual update is already done for everyone else so... i'm supposed to try again later... which I have been for the past hour... i guess i'm just a lucky guy?

already did uninstall in an attempt to reinstall and patch, but still no luck. huzzah, magic

It's not just you. However, I haven't tried an uninstall, yet.

edit: Message sent to Support

edit 2: Uninstalled, now I can't download the client.

Servers are under maintenance apparently. The website says that all servers are up and online though. I sent a message to support as well.

fairly irritating.. tried basically everything.. dns flush, svc /verify and scannow... uninstall reinstall reboot... would try repair tool if that wasn't malfunctioning at the moment, too. not to mention tried brothers comp also.

le sigh.

"The Servers are currently undergoing maintenance. Please try again later."

My friend at work had the same problem. We are both running Windows 8.1 Pro.

Are those of you with the problem also running Windows 8.1?

Win7-64, here.

I suspect that _something_ has been flagged either locally, or on PGI's end, that is blocking us.

Considering that I ran a full wipe of MWO, and I can't even download the client now...

ugh that sucks. Just got back from testing an MWO install remotely on my work PC (lol don't tell my boss!).

It's a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit (My Windows 8.1 Pro is 64-bit as well). The patcher download and install worked, but I get the same message when I try to launch the patcher.

I've also been getting the same error when I try to run the repair tool.

This is not very fun...

Okay, I just tried a fresh install on a computer that has never had MWO on it, and got the same server maintenance messages.

I attempted to reinstall the game after having severe issues today (I enter a match, it searches, then sticks on a black connecting screen for 30 seconds, then puts me back into the Mechlab. My Mech is in the battle, but I am not.).

After uninstalling it, when I attempted to reinstall I received the error message: "The downloaded file is corrupt. The MD5 Hash of the local file doesn't match that of the file on the server. Would you like to retry?"
there was no way beyond this. I downloaded and used the patcher, but it times out A LOT, and I have to retry often. At this time I'm on my 2nd hour of patching. It'll patch a portion, then hang, then offer me the option to retry eventually because of timing out.

These sorts of issues (connectivity and such) are almost never solved by reinstalling. Although I certainly understand wanting to find some solution, uninstalling will typically cost you more time than waiting for a fix. Sorry to be Captain Hindsight on this, but I felt it was worth pointing out. In the meantime, I'll check to see if a CDN refresh solves your problem.

Update: For future such issues, the repair tool will often serve you far better than an uninstall/reinstall (if you go into the options and check everything, you will essentially be in a "fresh install" state). Here's a link to the latest iteration of the repair tool:

Same here. Gets to 22MB on the patch download and just stops. Multiple days now. Tried full uninstall and reinstall, still stops at the same point in the download.
