Yup, I'm laughing. Everyone who was going "Clans have no ECMs" is so eating a frog right now.

How's the Kit Fox working in general?

With ECM? Seems worth it. Without it? The weaponload is impressive for such a small little guy, but I am kind of underwhelmed by the speed. The only thing keeping lights alive is speed and he kind of lacks that. The Adder is just as slow, but the weaponloadouts of an Adder are better suited to long range combat and it has enough speed to keep away. The Kit Fox wants to get up close and personal. For that I think it is a little to slow. But the ECM+AMS combo make it a better raven, essentially.

As a support mech, sticking close to your assults to chase off lights, with ECM and 3 AMS its great mech to pilot. Cant speak for how it works out as a solo tho.

So what kind of loadout are you doing with the ECM arm?

I have been running 3 ER medium lasers (those can fire from one side to another on the River City map almost) and 2 MGs. 3 AMS with 2 tons of ammo which seem to work decently against the clan LRM systems (not met an IS mech with LRM yet so cant say in that case). Been doing everything from 95 to 790 damage with it, depending on where "my" Dire Wolves have trodded along... geeez those guys are sloooooooow.

Besides the fact that the kitfox is about 10-20% too large it is working out well.

With the way the Clan LRM's work you can stand in the open with no ecm and those trip AMS's will will be lucky to be hit by a single clrm.

What do I need to buy to get that mech as cheaply as possible? I dont really understand those non a-la carte sales since it says 1 prime mech + 2 variants, is it my choice or the name of the pack?

Would the Uller Collection thing be enough?

$30 gets you the 3 Kit Foxes. The -C arm is available to buy in mechlab for around 150k c-bills.

LRM Targeting and ECM programming is still Bad.

Bad + Bad, does not equal Good.

They caved realizing the variants they included had no counter vs. the way things currently are.
