Simply that. Anyone who's ponied up for a Founder badge has already put their money where there mouth is for a product essentially sight unseen. Will you pay cash for a Warhammer? I'm not even going into how much, or "yes, but only with X, Y, Z." I'm not going into how it would happen, or how to make it happen, or how it cannot possibly happen. Just a yes or no.

The status of "Unseen" mech licensing and MWO has not been made clear here. It's a question that will eventually need an official answer. So let's just continue to put our money where our mouths are and see where things go. Money makes things like MWO happen, right? Who'd have thought it possible to bring back a "dead" IP, but it's real, alive, and kicking.

By Unseen, I'm talking of course about these iconic 3025-3050 first generation Battletech mechs:

Locust IIC
Stinger
Wasp
Super Wasp
Valkyrie
Phoenix Hawk
Crusader
Firebee
Hornet
Ostsol
Ostscout
Behemoth
Archer
Warhammer
Rifleman
Longbow
Marauder
Marauder II
Scorpion
Goliath
Battlemaster

No, out of principle. Anything in the game should be able to be bought with in-game currency. Violate that rule and the ride down the slippery slope begins.

Yes I would, because I want them allot. But It shouldn't be obtainable by money only.

I enjoy the way Tribes Ascend does it. Absolutely everything (except player vanity skins) is achievable without paying a dime. However, paying a little bit here & there will help you get ahead MUCH faster. I really hope MWO has a F2P model like Tribes Ascend. It's a near perfect F2P model.

As pointed out by Hikaru; many of us have already contributed and therefore demonstrated a commitment to this game. After the teaser video of the Warhammer and the thought that it could actually show up in the game...yeah, I'll admit it, I was hooked. If the Devs dangled it out there as available for $xx.xx, I'd likely open my wallet again.

You already spent $120 and now have $80 in in-game currency which as of this date can only be used to purchase more mechs or XP/C-bill boosts.

There is no slippery slope. You're swimming in the deepest end of the pool right now.

Call me crazy, but I feel no loss over these Mechs. I did at one time, but I came to terms with that many years ago.

I'm not sure what my limit would be, but to get an Archer? I'd pay or be willing to play and try to get some crazy achievement to pilot my old first mech again.
Next on the list would be a Marauder, and a Valkyrie (LAM?)

Rifleman, Behemoth, Warhammer, Marauder, Longbow. Yes.

I'd even be willing to just have the chassis of the Behemoth and somehow deal with fitting IS weapons on it.

I'd be willing to pay for them, sure, but they should not be any more expensive than an equivalent 'mech.

Yes I definitely would. Some of these mechs are iconic in that they have a large place in my original Battletech/Mechwarrior memories.

Yes and No which is why I didn't vote. If you want it fast, then what you do is pay through money. HOWEVER if you want to earn it a longer way, set up an in game money method for it then convert it to what you need to get the mech.

I want a Marauder.

We are already getting money in game for spending money out of game just by being founders. The slope done slipped. Let the few who want to mortgage the house to have the best of everything have just that. Battletech is far more skill-based so I care not!

Yes and no - a lot of the unseen mechs were reproduced, stats-wise (or can be) so would not be that unbalancing. It WOULD, however, be a cosmetic thing and a lot of people see the Warhammer as the iconic BT mech. It might, also, be the only way we're going to see them at all - and better for someone to pay than nobody at all get them (and Harmony Gold *will* want money for their designs).

If you're asking: Would I pay extra as incentive to the devs to put them in the game, then no.

If you're asking: If I were lightly browsing through the shops one day and saw a BLR-4S available, but I didn't have the C-bills? Then heck yes.

EDIT: Wait, was the 4S the Phoenix variant? Ah well, regardless.

Then get me a f**king diving board dude, I'm going deep.

Seriously kids, back in the day I used to shell out 30 dollars for little hunks of lead that I would then spend hours painting and gluing to get into map worthy shape for tournements. This is nothing. There's very little time commitment, and maximum enjoyment.

I'm expecting this game to make up for the massive disappointment that Diablo 3 was to me, and to give me something else to play aside from LOL.
