There is already a Tab for Trial mechs, along with Light, Medium, Heavy and Assault. The Trial mechs do NOT need to be in our Owned mechbay. They DO need to be in the Purchaseable, however.

This is common sense.

Get rid of them in the owned bays because I don't own any of the trial mechs so why are they listed here. They already have there own tab.

I own over 50 mechs. It's already hard enough searching for that one mech with that one special weapon loadout. Believe me, if I wanted another mechI'd simply buy it. And if i wanted to try it first, I'd look for the trials. But this way it's just annoying and a pain in the ***. Trials don't belong in the "owned" category!

At least hide those trial mechs we already own!

Agreed. PGI, get those trial mechs out of my mechbay. Give us the option. Those of us who don't want them there tend to be the ones who already own a lot of mechs and you already have us as paying customers. You don't need to advertise trail mechs to someone who already owns them. It just makes us grumpy.

I was looking forward to changes in the Owned filter and then got disappointed.

Bumping to add more attention to this topic.

NO MORE TRIAL MECHS IN MY OWNED MECHS MECH BAY!

Or if you want to leave it there, don't mingle it with my mechs. Place then at the top like they were before.

Here's a thought, instead of buying the trial mechs, could we sell them back for say 1/3 their MC value. Please, Pretty please. Or can I sell them to you and I pay you 1000 C Bills per trial mech ( shipping costs). Either way it gets them out of my Mechlab.

IT's product placement. I don't see it ever going away because sales is what keeps them in business.

Until I can remove them, I sure as hell am not going to purchase them.

For those offering gentle comprimises, I say nay-nay. No Trial mechs in the Owned tab. Period. There is already a Trial tab, which can also have its own weight class filter.

In fact, instead of having an Owned / Purchaseable drop down list, have 3 main buttons: Trial, Owned, and Purchaseable. Then, have 6 buttons representing the 4 weight classes + Champion and Hero mechs.

Finally, the drop down list can then be used to sort alphabetically or by tonnage (with ascending and descending options).

Buttons: Owned - Trial - Purchaseable
Drop down list: Sort either alphabetically or by tonnage

Light
Medium
Heavy
Assault
Champion
Hero

I just checked again, I like the champion and hero mechs in their own weight class, but I still have the trial mechs, next to the champion version of the mech which I own! Lets just filter them out and be done with it.

Nice patch....It made things worse!
Instead of having to scroll down to my mechs they are now mixed in with the trial mechs? :)

Friend, as it's been said before, once a player has contributed a certain amount of money, say $150, to the game, do you think they should be subjected to viewing trial mechs cluttering their mech bay? Do you really think players who have contributed this much need 'in-your-face' advertising to drop hard cash?

Once you are a proven contributor to the game, there should be a bonus given to filter out these abominations!

Common sense!

Think of it from the marketer's perspective though. You already spent $150, you have shown that you are willing to pay them so why would they NOT want to keep their advertizing in your face at every opportunity?

Yep, hate the damned trial mechs as well. It is annoying as hell to have to deal with them. I will not ever use them, so why is it so difficult to just have a checkbox that hides them permanently?

I can understand why PGI put them there. It is For the New Players so they can Find them.

Suggestion PGI:
Under the Setting Button were you can go set "start in 3d person" or "Arm Lock" put a Check Box (Default is checked and on just like 3rd Person & Arm Lock) "Show Trial Mechs under Owned"

A selectable filter (that saves) to turn it on or off would be nice.

That was my point. If it can be hidden, it will never be bought. They could put Atlas Shoes on there that would decrease speed by 50% and render all weapons useless and people would buy it. This isn't a battle that is worth fighting.
