What are your opinions of future weapons for MWO?

Mech Mortars. Stated to be coming in late 2012/early 2013. Don't see it yet.

Laser AMS. Said to already be made by developer Thomas. Then Thomas quit. Rumor speculated Clan mechs would debut with laser AMS.

MRMs. Supposedly in the near future if we go by time line.

Arrow IV. HUGE missiles. Deadly ones. I wants.

------------

Feedback on your list.

Snub-nosed PPCs are energy versions of LBX autocannons. Shotguns.

Light AC/5s. These are low caliber AC/5s. In comparison to their full size brothers, these had nastier recoils due to reduced barrel sizes which in turn resulted in shorter optimum ranges.
Spoiler

If implemented as just 1 shot = 5 damage instead of tabletop and lore's 1 use = 5 damage, it'll create a serious balancing issue.

I don't know anything about Thunderbolt missiles and I can't seem to load Sarna pages.

TheThunderbolt Missile was developed for the arenas of Solaris. Unlike most missile systems, the Thunderbolt was a single missile that smashed into its target. Though it was effective in the arenas, it didn't see widespread use in the field because the single missile was very vulnerable to Anti-Missile Systems. The missile launcher, though small, was awkward to mount and would only fit on the left or right torso of a 'Mech.
In addition, if hit by weapons fire, the Thunderbolt Missile would inflict the same damage on the 'Mech mounting it as well as increasing the heat scale by 15 points.

The Thunderbolt Missile is considered obsolete, but was used as the basis for the Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 10, Thunderbolt 15, and Thunderbolt 20 in Tactical Operations.

1 ton, 1 critical fro the normal one

The later ones are single missiles that do the number as damage, so essentially are missile hardpoint AC's.

I mean it would be diversity, theres that.

Worth noting that the original Thunderbolt is a one-shot weapon.

I would slap them on EVERY mech that could mount them. It just seems like a helluva ride.

Arrow iv, because lrm just isnt enough.

Hand to hand, because kick him in the junk. Disrespect his face with an axe.

Inferno srm, because pain. How much pain?

I can hear the QQ now...sweet tears of pitiful agony. Songs and praises of OP will fill the sky. Wild and ribald wails to the Nerf God! Bring thy foam Hammer of Nerf and Balance(+20) upon the Plague that is Inferno!!!! Smite that foul P2W coding that elevates mediocrity to one button win! Let the underhive grow in courage from the trust of their new and powerful one button weapon, the Inferno SRM!!! And then, and only then, when the underhivers are secure and proud of their faith in their superiority, then and only then TAKETH IT AWAY!!!!! MU HU HAAA HAAA HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

The ELO shall shaketh and FALL!!!
KDRs will weep tears of Unicorn Blood!!!
W/LR Will tell tales of deceit! Trolls will burn. Reason will perish!
The forums shall be ablaze in denial-of-self-worth and hurting-of-butt. Friend will accuse friend! Foe will sup with foe!
Mad cats and Dire Wolves shall live together!
Mass Hysteria!!!

A true to table top RAC would have a very short cycle time, but a jam chance that increased with the number of shots in the previous second and a ghost heat that would look at the number of shots fired in the last half second. A Jager with four RAC/2's would rapidly shut down, if it did not jam first.

What i would lite to see most are quad mechs, i kind a loved these on tabletop.
I would love to see melee weapons - swords and axes.
And axes would fit into timeline, being deployed before the invasion.

And of course faction weapons would be great to encourage faction play.
Heawy gauss for Lyrans
MRM for DC
Light Gauss for FWL
Heavy lasers for crusaders and ATM for wardens.

There is so much great equipment that would be awesome, and i hope that we will get at least some in time.

Weapon systems I am looking forward to ?
Hmmmm ...
I look forward to seeing all weapons register their sent damage, not just a hundredth of it, regardless of latency .

That would clearly be the best weaponsystem ever to be coming out .

for IS:

Heavy PPC.

Heavy Gauss.

Light Gauss.

Rotary AC's (would probably be machineguns on steroids in MWO)

Arrow IV Missiles.

X-Pulse.

As for Clans:

HAG and ATM's.

The Rifle dealt 9 damage to primitive armor, that was reduced to 6 against modern armor (STD, FF .. etc...)
