I am a Hardware Software Trouble shooter
with 30 years hands on experience.
I have noted increasing memory allocations
when transition from mech lab to live match
This occurs if directx is changed or resoulution
is changed.
I also notice this error after modifiy
a mech in the lab then proceed to attempt to
play a mech in match
It has become a very regular occurrence after public server and patch were applied on aug 27
I have attempted repair tool no resolve
I have wipe installation and reinstall in new location no resolve
I have checked and run repairs on ms cabinets net frameworking etc... no resolve
I have traced the problem to a possible file directx 9 11 in your games system
I believe that the 3 gig barrier on ms windows vista and 7 32 bit may be the culprit
the system in question
ms windows 7 home 32bit
asus m3a78-em
amd athlon 7750 dual core
4 gig 667 ram ddr
amd radeon hd 5670
RESOLVE ACHIEVED
STEPS TAKEN
1. MECHWARRIOR ONLINE GAME SYSTEM
IS HIGH END USAGE THIS MEAN MORE RESOURCES
USED ie RAM CPU
2. THIS IS A PHYSICAL LIMITATION OF WINDOWS 32 BIT
SYSTEMS IN REGARDS TO RAM SEEN AND RAM
AVAILABLE TO BE USED BY COMPUTER SYSTEM
3. THIS IS THE FIX THAT WORKED FOR ME I REPLACED
THE PHYSICAL RAM ON MY MOTHER BOARD
I HAVE FOUND THAT MANUFACTURE SPECS FOR
RAM ARE NOT ALWAYS ACCURATE AND IF THE RAM
IS LOW END HARDWARE OR QUESTIONABLE THE
MEMORY LEAK IN THE CRY ENGINE GAME SYSTEM
WILL ERROR OUT
4. I HAVE PLAYED 6 OF MY 8 MECHS IN MATCHES WITH
NO ERRORS
I HAVE MODIFIED AND PLAYED MECHS FROM THE LAB
WITH NO ERRORS
I do hope the above information helps

I'm also on a "minimal" system. I was getting random crashes constantly. even after dumbing down everything I could in game. I changed the color depth from 32 bits to 16 bits in windows. (32 bit windows 7 home premium) now I can run two combat sessions without errors at a time. after the second run, I quit to desktop and reload. It's a pain in the tail, but it works for me for now........

can you edit the title to include 'possible fix'? some people might think youre just saying your getting the error and not actuaaly read the post..
im glad you found a fix, i hope it works for others.

I updated about a fortnight ago to see what the Clans fun might be and now every 3-4th game I get the Memory Allocation Error.
I didn't get this several months ago, what did you break?
