Convoy And Horde Mode?

My first recommendation is a Convoy Mode. Convoy Mode would have a large train of vehicles with no weapons, (or only machineguns and small laser.) and 2 lances of mediem to light mechs as the deffenders, with one or two heavies OR one assault mech. The convoy travels on a pre-designated patch, with the mechs protecting these extreamly weak vehicles. The Attackers only get 1 lance of mechs but can take what ever they want. if the Attackers kill all the convoy train, they win! if the deffenders get a certain amount of the convoy across the map safely, or kill all the enemy, they win!
A Second version of Convoy mode would be a defend the drop ship. in this mode the roles are reversed. The deffenders get only 1 lance of mechs but can take what ever they want. The attackers get 2 lance but only lights and mediums, with one or two heavies or one assault. The deffenders really only have to stop the attackers from destroying the drop ship, but get extra C'bills for every convoy truck that makes it to the drop ship. The attackers get Extra C'Bills for each convoy truck they destroy but will still lose if the drop ship servives.
Horde Mode would actually be more of a Base Defence mode. in this case the Deffenders get 2 lances and the attackers get 3 lances, but both can bring what ever they want. The deffenders also have a constent stream of light tanks and Helicopters poring out of the base. the tanks are only armed with A.C. 5's, A.C.10, Medium laser's, Or S.R.M's. Also they have no more than 30-40 armor on any side, with VERY WEAK internal structure. Helicopters would only have Medium laser, Medium pulse lasers, OR S.R.M.'s with only 10-20 armor and even weaker internal structure.
The Goal of the Attackers is actually to destroy 3 buldings in horde mode. The Command Center, The Air-traffic Control Tower, and the Factory. all of witch would be difficult to destroy but on doing so would also slow down or even stop how many tanks and Helicoptors are still coming. The Deffenders win when all the attackers are dead.
I belive that adding in all of these modes would really Increase Game play and would be a LOT more ENJOYABLE than current content. If such modes Exsisted I would be even more eager to spend more money on this game, and I bet others would be just as eager as me.
Does anyone else have any other Ideas of Game modes that would help MechWarrior's? Please Share them here! Feel free to also offer your opinions on how to Improve these said modes as well

If a new mode can add to game play balance, it's a win-win.

I'm all for more modes, even though they would split the queues too much right now.

In this way of thinking of things cb = influence. More successful pilots and units will have more cb so cb can also stand in for influence.
So let's have the 1st Crucis Lancers RCT in a battle with 2nd Sword of Light which is on a raiding mission. The pilots in the Crucis Lancers spend cb (which can also represent influence) to get assigned use of 2 lances of medium tanks, a lance of gunships and 3x artillery strikes. The 2nd Sword of Light chooses to not expend any cb to get combined arms assets since they are on a raid and want to be in and gone before the defenders can concentrate ther forces.
During the battle the 2nd Crucis Lancers mech company is caught out of position and has to bring in a lance of medium tanks and the gunship lance to delay the raiding mechs and so in the next battle won't have access to those resources unless they expend more cb. Assets paid for using cb but not used in battle remain with the purchasing mech pilot as a consumable module. If a pilot who purchases a consumable module is destroyed then those assets cannot be brought into the battle by someone else.
Meanwhile the raiding mech company succeeds in grabbing resources during the raid in a Conquest mission and escapes.
*shrug* if you're going to put in the code to have vehicles for a convoy mission why not put in the slightly more code to have actual assets that can be used on a battlefield in a combined arms fashion?

If it's *just* consumables, and as long as premium or a CB boost mech aren't required to break even even while using them, then it's fine... Apparently, anyway. I miss R&R and how running a fancy expensive mech with a meta build, a huge XL engine, ES and FF would mean a bad match would cause you to actually lose money, sometimes a considerable amount. Where that system failed is the 75% free r&r and the fact you weren't forced to pay for it before dropping in a mech.

Assault exists now, and hardly anyone plays it...
seems like almost every game is skirmish, not enough rewards for doing the objectives.
AND I personally am tired of being cussed at for capping the base in assault.

Assault AND defend, or Attack and Defend. Different mode from Assault.
Also, anyone that cusses at you for capping the base is a moron that you absolutely should not pay any attention to. If they don't want tactical play, let the idiots go to Skirmish.
You're more than welcome to drop with my and the rest of HHoD anytime.

I'm personally all over the place due to a hectic schedule. However, even if you miss me, the rest of HHoD will definitely enjoy dropping with a pilot like you.
I'm PDT right now btw.

So how do I find HHoD?
Teamspeak3 server: House Davion
Address: ts50.bargainvoice.com:7345.
That's the public House Davion server, anyone is welcome to drop there, and most of the Davion units are on that server. So it's also a good place to negotiate/communicate with Davion units.

The community would whine PGI's ear off about that..
YES, we need VIP escort mode
YES we need more modes in general... But they need to be well balanced for both attackers and defenders..
Horde mode you described is basically CW: Invasion - Defense, but with AI bots for the defenders..
I don't see them doing this any time soon..
