Greetings and salutations! I am a very popular MethWarrior: Online poster, known by the name of Flower T. Hird, Esq.. I have a question for the forums and developers, or maybe the mods or some sentient robot or something - whoever is around the office I suppose.

Being a savage and ruthless poster with sublime grace and ultimate poise is hard work, but I'm happy to do it, and ask only for the occassional "Like", to signify your eternal grattitude for my celestial, keyboard-shattering utterances. There is an issue of some importance though: These forums are Like-capped! Apparently, there is a limit to how many "Like"s one can give per day!

Now, imagine my despair, deer breeder, when I realized this! I was liking some posts, and wanted to "Like" them, and what did I get? Egg in my face! (Chicken, not Tetatae! DON'T EVEN GO THERE BUDDY!) But then the thought hit me "Third!" I said, "Third, this won't stand! What if people want to "Like" all your beautiful and bountiful posts at once, maybe with a new throw-away account made for that purpose? They will be stopped dead in their tracks, and you will have lost precious "Like"s, scattered like so many Davions, before a Flight of Tetatae braves!"

I said all of that, and then I went and wrote this thread. Hope you like it and "Like" it. Back to my question: Why is there a limit to how many "Like"s you can give? Please end "Like"-n-cap, it is strangling our industry and economy.

Edit: Something went terribly wrong with the formatting of this but that DOES NOT MEAN THAT I'M NOT STILL A GREAT POSTER! So get that straight out of your head, son.

I too, oft wonder why there would be a limit to the wellspring of good will that is the "like" function.

Thank you Anders, I have "Like"d your post for showing that you care, and I like your support in this matter. I would "Like" if we could get this issue resolved fast, if you'll excuse my pune (yes, I spell it like that, so what?). I feel it should be higher priority than adding yet another drab fightwagon, like the Butchwhacker or the Atlast. Those can wait, I'm trying to run a business here!

Same goes to you too Silent - glad you didn't stay so. We must all speak out against artificial "Like"-shorteners!

The ability to "Like" a post is the by far the most important aspect of social media. I dare say, it is the only think preventing society from collapsing upon itself!

The simple answer is, there is a limit because people would abuse it otherwise.
