I have noticed that every mech has 2 Consumable Module slots, 2 Weapon Module slots, 1 Mech Module slot, and 1 Mech or Weapon module slot for a total of 6 slots. Except the Timberwolf, which seems to be shy a Weapon Module slot. Why?

When they implemented them, they made a list of the ones that have a different than normal amount of modules.

To balance they best mech in the game, they remove a weapon module slot.

"Quirks". Mechs that are the most powerful w/out even using modules got less slots than other less favored mechs in a an attempt to balance things out.

It was a mostly good idea- the only problems being that when they made the change they doubled the amount of slots most mechs had, and at the same time mechs that were considered OP only got jipped out of one slot....so they increased the power of all mechs across the board and then pretty much made a token gesture at balancing the OP mechs by only taking one slot away. (net result, Timber Wolf got even more powerful overnight with the change...while personally, by the time I get around to the final module slot on a mech these days, I barely even care what it is because modules only make so much of a difference anyways.)

Many other mechs that aren't as powerful as the TimberWolf are also stuck with only 1 Mech Module slot. They just haven't bothered to go back and adjust it for those that don't deserve to be down 1.

Some clear examples of those who should have 2 instead of 1:
Fang/Flame
Wolverines
Kintaros
Griffons
Trebuchets
...

ok the list really goes on and needs to be adjusted. Hopefully they're handling this when the quirks drop next week.
