Ugh... I hate them enough as it is, I hope we won't hear a flood of c-bill warhorns. Unless of course, it's a B33f warhorn.

ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ B33f warhorn or riot!

It's normal for free to play games to charge real money for purely vanity items. It's more controversial to charge real money for practical items like hero 'mechs that might be viewed as pay to win items.

At least most of them aren't very good.

Off the top of my head, I'd say the Dragon Slayer, Firebrand, Ilya Muromets and Misery are good ones.

I have only two war horns and got both for 50%.... sales do happen and are the only time I will purchase MC for them. I am fine with them not be C-bill bought, but the regular price on most things tend not to temp me in this game at this time.

What? I never saw any warhorn on sale... or maybe I was away at that time? I would probably buy one when on sale and move it around every round...

How the sale works? They select which is on sale?

As pointed out the design flirts with paying for an advantage. Doesn't create the situation but does enable it. Good examples of this in MWO's history was during the period of the UAC5 abuse and broken design. During that time frame the Ilya was the optimized build to abuse the broken weapon as it had the small tonnage advantage over the Jager (the only other mech with the hardpoints to mount 3 UACs) that allowed it to not compromise as harshly and had a marginal advantage over the 4X of not having a wasted ballistics hardpoint, having 3 energy hardpoints and the placement of those hardpoints.

The degree of the advantage could be argued but what cannot be is that the Ilya was the chosen mech used in Competitive Teams when they were fielding a 3 UAC/5 grinder into their mix. Wasn't as pervasive as the CTF-3D but the simple matter that a CTF without jumpjets was ever being picked over a CTF with them should speak of an advantage to be found there.

Hero mechs are well and good for what they are but I would rather see options to separate the bonuses. Being that Hero Variants be copied without the C-Bill bonus or unique look and released for C-Bills while a MC only item is created that when used forever changes one mech to offer a 30% C-Bill bonus.

Heroes still exist with their unique look and name with all bonuses attached but builds currently locked behind the paywall become options to free customers and paying customers can attach that Special C-Bill Boost to mechs they have paid to customize.

That's my two cents anyways.

Yes they pick which ones go on sale for us, and I have only seen the kickers and the green speaker one go on sale, last month or two is when they did I believe...?

I switch mine around every time I switch mechs....

Thanks... There is only 2 that I like so I'll see what I will do when a sale happen since it seems they will never be available for .

I wonder if they went if the less popular ones on sale first? I'll keep my 2 favorites secret :P

Bit outdated I say. The only good hero mech in my book at the moment is the Ember.

Yeah, while I personally like my warhorns and don't mind hearing them from others, I do NOT want the unwashed masses having them.

If they want them, they should have to pay money like the rest of us have.

There's a rumor that the negative Quirks on the Victors and Highlanders might be reversed. Firebrand is still the only Jager with high-mounted energy weapons and Misery is still the only Stalker with ballistics. :)

The Misery's role has been a little supplanted by Clan mechs right now (and it isn't CW yet). The Dragon Slayer with some extra quirks I can see still having a place I guess.

I'd really like the option to mute your warhorns for Cbills. Most of them sound really stupid.
