When clan mechs are targeted by an innersphere mech. The innersphere name should be displayed. Example being timberwolf displayed as mad cat etc .

this would be awesome. I can see how it might be confusing for new players though.. And should it show up as the clan name or the IS name in the mechlab?

Should that also depend on your faction

Well this could be fixable over an option in the setup for those who wan't to have the IS names. The idea at itself is good.

I would like custom tags for mechs, Pug Lermer, Guy Who Shoots Me in the Back Every Game, etc. :D

The two factions have their own hud already---this couldn't be a hard feature to add.

I'd love to see this. The only real issue is that it would be confusing to new players, so it needs a toggle in the options to turn it on, which probably means recoding part of the HUD, which means coding time not being spent on CW/UI etc. Add it to the list of things that we really need, when there is time for it to be done.
