I am hearing a lot of bad news on the news about what is happening in Buffalo New York. My prayers are with you.

Not true,whole family is from Western NY, and they've never had it this bad. One of my relatives had over 73 inches of snow.
They certainly deal with it much better than most people down here near NYC do though, that's for sure

Depends if your are in the mountains or not... ;)

The poor Americans have a continental climate like the guys in Russia.

Yeah...in the sense that we're used to only 1-2 feet of snow for decent lake effect, not 5-7 feet of heavy, wet, hard-packed, and did I mention heavy snow. And then we got another foot or two more a day later.

Took me nearly 3 days to actually get out, even broke a snowblower on this crap. Some people's roofs even collapsed under the weight. That doesn't happen for almost all of our lake effect snow. So glad it warmed up and melted most of it.
