La Malinche Build Options

LA MALINCHE / Std350 + 4DHS
or
LA MALINCHE / Std340 + 5DHS
Basically, difference is either +10 engine rating or +1 DHS... can't decide.
Even more, I can't decide does it worth switching PPC with LPL due to quirks.
Any opinions are appreciated!

This is a more CW build, but still effective

Neither of your builds have any rear CT armor, making them invalid.
This is the best build for Malinche right now. Might as well use the quirks to their full advantage. You don't need the PPC because the LPL will have a range of 475M with the quirks + LPL range module. Plus the PPC sits at waist level and the LPL wiill be way up on the shoulder.
You don't need the 4-5kph the larger engines are giving you, as much as you do to use that tonnage to run more armor, especially for your shield arms and legs.
If you want to run an XL, there's this build.

I've tried it with the AC10, but it just feels terribly lacking. The AC10 just doesn't feel like it's worth the tonnage. I went with the AC20 and had a somewhat better time, though I still hate this stupid thing. It's slightly better same hardpoints on paper than the AS7-K, but in practice the missile hardpoint is useless and the arm hardpoints are somehow lower than on the Atlas. Its only advantage in that respect is that its LT and head hardpoints are higher than the Atlas's CT energy hardpoints, and the LT can fit a bigger weapon.

Why would you ever run a STD275 in a Banshee and only max out at 51.6 Kph? The beauty of the Banshee is that it's one of the fastest assaults on the battlefield.
Oh, I see you say "I would run" meaning you've never piloted one yourself?

Again, my optimized for quirks build (must be why I'm enjoying it so much lately) averaging 700+ damage matches.
BNC-LM 375XL, AC/10, 3x LPL, 1x ML, AMS, 17 DHS
70.3 Kps, 39% cooling efficiency, big fast mean!
The quirks in combination with AC/10 Cooldown 5, and LPL Cooldown 5, LP-Laser Range 5, Modules (yeah 3 million C-Bills apiece) makes a huge difference. I'm actually liking this more than my Wubanshee because I overheat less and the AC/10 is a nice compliment.
I have the right arm LPL on group 2, the other two LPLs and ML on group 1 and the AC/10 on group 3 with alpha on group 4. I rarely ever overheat.
AC/10 Cooldown20%
Ballistic Weapon Cooldown10%
AC/10 Range20%

Energy Weapon Heat Generation-10%
