Also an obvious point but dropping in a group with your unit will probably help (assuming any are online).

Ah, this sounds like fun~
But my antivirus keeps turning off my Internet in the middle of matches (desync, anyone?) and it is driving me up the wall, so I think I will save everyone some grief and not weigh the team down with a player who cannot play reliably anymore. XP

Man, ever since I moved, my connection has been so bad (ping up from 60-90 to 200-300), and the disconnecting has just gotten even worse. Bummer, because I have spent so much on this game and now I can hardly play it.

ok, so waiting, still waiting, and more waiting... has anyone even tested this to see if it works...

probably as intended, dont know why they put 80 points as a requisite, when the real challenge is to get into a match...

I just want to thank you, PGI, for giving us a Challenge weekend for BETA content that many of us have to play at ~5-8 fps WHEN we can find a match, because the lobby screen is borked. That was masterful thinking on your part, I salute you o7

If i want to sit in front of a screen, staring at it, i can go look TV.

Been waiting for nearly an hour now, 5-men group and solo to do at least one drop. No chance at all.

Nice idea with that challenge, but impossible to complete this way.

CW is not optimized yet, Russ said that they are working on it.

Great idea, poor execution as the wait time between invasion launches are ridiculous.

more than 45 minutes waiting for a 1 drop... this "CHALLENGE" is too much for me

i would not start a challange, when the cw is totally bugged and it takes 2 hours for a single drop...
and even then there is not a single enemy...
but u get a tons of LP... for killing towers LOL
plz fix

but you have to admit that IF you get a game, CW is freaking awesome.
The wait times are too long for me but I have had 3 games since yesterday and .. whow. If this gets fixed it will be best thing ever. Well, after Nutella.

One of the worst challenges ever - CW is unplayable becouse unbalanced maps, a lot of bugs and waiting times over 20 min. Wasted 1.5-2 hours to get 3 failed attempts, so it gonna be over for me - no more patience to play broken CW....

P.S. i can understnd waiting times so long - it can be only one drop at planet same time. But give us ******* option to see where we can drop NOW or how long it will take to drop!!! Fix game before making challenges... Same broken **** like "group challenges" with no option to find a group in game (cry chat not count).

Saw a post where someone called it Community Waitingroom--thought that was pretty apropos. Hopefully folks are getting their units contracted and sitting down to read through the documentation so things should pick up over the weekend.

They really need to either fix the invisible team bug in the match waiting room or put a news item out about it on the launcher--I expect a lot of folks are quitting out of partially filled teams because it looks like they are alone.

Come back to MechWarrior Online because Community Warfare finally happens.

Spend hours waiting for an Invasion match and don't actually spend any time playing at all.

At least with GTAV's horrifying loading times I still get to rob a convenience store every twenty minutes or so...

CW is a ton of fun right now. Good job so far PGI! I'm digging the play style. Brings back memories of Mechwarrior 2 and NetMech. :)

might be the main reason for the waiting disaster....

it's a BETA. Things are going to get better. The guys at PGI worked their butts off to give us this before christmas holidays. The witing thing needs a hotfix IMHo if technically feasible and the balancing.. well, i can live with it for a few weeks.. I just wanna play :(

(I don't think this message will get your attention but I'll try anyway)

To lower the absurd waiting time in CW you could add a PLAYER COUNTER in the planet lobby, so that we can know if someone is interested in attacking / defending that planet or not and at what point of the search the matchmaker is.

EXAMPLE


I click on Apollo and I see this message:

Planet:Apollo
attack: 12/12 (ready!)
defense: 4/12 (searching...)

I click on Tripoli and I see this message:
Attack:1/12 (this dude will wait for ever)
Defense:0/12


This way we don't have to wait FOREVER to find a game
