Guys, this is the cycle:

Click join



Find a match and start connecting




See this screen and it load




And this pops up.





This happens...EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Rejoin doesn't work either! All it does is go through the same cycle! Just without the searching part.

I have had this happen now six times in a row. Restarted computer. Restarted the program. Played around with my settings.

What is going on?

I got a mech stuck in a match like this. Been 30min and no changes. The match glitched out, everyone running in place, no hits registering. Did yours ever resolve? Sucks because I just bought and outfitted this TDR and can't even play it.


***NM, after restarting the game for the 3rd time it resolved. Strange.

Yes.

I did a complete wipe of the game, registry cleanout, chkdsk of all drives, and am now attempting a complete reinstall.

However, when I run the installer, it tells me the files it downloaded do not match those on the server - an MD5 hash error.

I'm now running the repair tool, in the hope that it will install the correct version of the missing files.

My guess is that one of the files in Piranha's installation directory is incorrect.

PS: Support are away until 3 January. Happy New Year.

Greetings all,

Check your authority level and settings for connecting to remote computers, in some cases there would be a windows pop up asking for permission to connect to one specific network.
- Updating these setting may allow for the connection.

Just a thought,

Thanks for the suggestion, but I can confirm it's not a permissions or firewall issue.

So I finally found a solution. It has worked for me and several others experiencing the same problem.

The launcher and the repair tool seem to be downloading incorrect versions of three key game files. Fortunately, I had installed MWO on my laptop while I was in Egypt a week ago, and was able to copy the correct files from my laptop to my main computer.

I will share these files below so that you can try to replicate my solution:

1. Run the Repair Tool, using the Cog icon in the launcher.
- If you can't even get the launcher to run, you will find MWORepairTool.exe in ..\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin32.
- Here is a copy of MWORepairTool.exe if you can't find your own.

2. Put this file in ..\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin32 (replacing the incorrect version of MechWarriorOnline there).

3. Put this file in ..\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin32 (replacing the incorrect version of MWOClient there there).

4. Put this file in ..\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin64 (replacing the incorrect version MWOClient there there).

Don't mix the files up. While the files in step 2 and 3 have the same name, they are the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the main game client respectively.

Let me know if this works for you. If it does I will put up a thread for the benefit of others.
