In CW, using a TDR-5SS, ER Large Laser says 911 meters in hud but only registering damage out to ~1500 meters. Im guessing its just the quirk not taking any effect and just going 675 + the range module which is about ~750 meters.

Are you sure you weren't hitting invisible terrain?

Hits at 1505m

No hits at 1507m, should be hitting out to 1822m

No terrain was blocking. I was the mech getting shot, we were testing this in a private lobby.

I emailed support a while back about that, but no response. Also, there's several other threads on this.
Pretty sure ERLL scales its damage correctly, but stops dead at 1500m (no matter which mech, map, quirk, mod, etc). Somebody posted something about a max setting somewhere.

People use thunderbolts other than the 7 MPL and 3 ER PPC variants? I've never seen this...

I noticed this awhile back on my 5ss. I later changed to large lasers for better heat.
But yes this is true.

The TDR-5SS general energy range quirk of 25% combined with the ERLL Range modules 10% gives a 35% boost to IS ERLLs 675m range, so it should be hitting for mas damage out to 911m, And with the favorable weapon locations, mechs such as this TDR-5SS build were actually putting up good numbers for me. They just weren't putting up their full potential.
