Wondering what the max engine size for the urbie should be. I think the 150 should give it enough speed to keep it playable. One post suggest Kit Fox or Adder speed. I would like to have the Urbie be as fast as the Kit Fox, but limiting the speed to 81 kph would keep in the spirit of the mech.

I'd rather have a slower engine cap if it meant that they'd give the Urbanmech better weapon quirks. I believe that, for its size, the Urbanmech should be very slow with a ton of firepower.

Hmm.. not sure. I will probably try to run the Urbie between 60-80kph. That sort of speed should be enough for the type of sniper and ambush type builds I will probably run.

I'd be fine with a slow, high-firepower light with solid quirking. It'd be a niche I've not seen filled before.

I think a max of 81 without speed tweak would be plenty fast enough, the little guys aren't supposed to be racers and being small and with good acceleration they could be hard to hit standing in the open just pacing back and forth.

Though they aren't supposed to be in the open they are supposed to peak out take a shot with their big canon then jump back under cover, and 81kph should let them do that just fine.

It will need to feel nimble enough and that usually means a bigger engine.
If the lower speed can be offset with good quirks that might compensate enough to make it usable.
ie.
Torso turn rate needs to be fast.
Arm vertical arc needs to be good.
Default acceleration, braking and turning all high.
A small profile will help and small hit boxes for the arms
Perhaps some armour tweaks on the legs and torsos though I do not agree with all these light mechs being so tough.

I agree with SirNotLag, having the option to put a decent enough engine in would be good.

i think its time to wait for how the urbie turns out and join the first urbie derby and only then start complaining or suggesting changes.
