Kills worth 10 points, assists worth 20.

I totally understand why kills are less. In case you don't it's because people play like dickheads when kills are worth more.

But I just played a 3 kill 2 assist 500+ damage game which totaled 108 pts. Frustrating.

Please make kills and assists worth the same for these challenges. Pretty please? With a cherry on top? Even if you split the difference and make them both worth 15pts.

its early here and I almost commented on this from just the title. The last line is a great compromise. I like how you think.

Carry harder. Earn your fifteen cents worth of MC!

/they're unlikely to tweak the formula this late into the event, but the feedback is good for the next one

Actually he needs to carry less. 5 assists and 500+ damage will surely reach the 130 score goal for the event.

7 kills with doing 899 damage does not qualify either

Even 8 kills with 749 damage doesn't. (That's killing 2/3 of the team on your own!)

Thats a far bigger concern than your 3/2/500

You're team must have lost. Winning is the big part of the equation.

I don't get why PGI doesn't just make the event such that you accumulate the points throughout the event, and then based on that tally, give 20 MC for every 130 points.

I agree with you ive lost a few points through getting 5 kills.

Perhaps theirs a point to this though.

You can kill a enemy mech alone. But it becomes problematic if your not aware of whats going on around you with allies and its slower. Perhaps their trying to teach pugs the benefits of focus fire.....

Because people would hop in a Trial, charge the enemy, tag as many as possible before dying.

Then repeat

TAGging only give bonuses when Missiles are fired thought right? The act of TAGging alone is not enough? :huh:

They had this exact scoring system in a previous event and we commented on it then too.

Are we missing teh point that PGI does not want it to be EASY for us to win MC? Is that something players are missing? It is an MC "Challenge" if it were easy to win it would be a MC "give away"!

There is no problem what so ever with the difficult level, the problem is that if we assume a loss, we get defeated by 6-12. Assume I do a lousy performance, I spray laser everywhere, deal 150 damage and die. My awesome teammate makes a good appearance, fights the best he can, kills four and deals 700 damage before he dies. I would end up with 6 assists, 150 damage and a cookie, while mr awesome ends up with 4 kills, 2 assists, 600 damage and nothing.

That's the problem. Actually only one of the problems. The other problem is that penalizing the killing shot encourages abnormal behavior like avoiding killing mechs when the team objective is to kill mechs....

I see what you mean but it is an attempt to reward "team work" instead of individual success, I don't say it is doing it correctly, and it is getting gamed, But the logic is coming from the right place. If more players worked together there would be more players earning more MC. ANd lets face it the ME generation did not end with
