Hey, I saw earlier that ghost heat for AC/2s was being disabled and when I mounted my mech with AC/2s no yellow triangle showed up.

Despite this I fire 3 times and I overheat with double heat sinks.

What sort of false information is this?

What other things have you changed and not informed us of?

The removal of the ghostheat made the lower arm actuators no longer work on clan mechs, so it was reverted.Do some research before shitposting, a'ight?

I thought shitposting was when you don't read the original post and add irrelevant material.

I hate to say this, but the reversion of the change to the AC2s also broke all the CW related tools/API.

Clearly, the thing needs more thorough testing.

As the OP stated, though the ghost heat change was reverted due to unforseen breaking of clan lower arm actuators, the ghost heat warning triangle isn't popping up in the mech lab.

Ghost heat is currently enabled for AC/2 due to the clan LAA issue that has already been stated, however thank you for bringing up another bug with the reversion, that the ghost heat indicator in mech lab is still disabled.

Because PGI can't program for ****, clearly. There's really no other way to explain it

Quite frankly in lore putting ACs or PPCs in the arms of a Clan mech is supposed to disable the LAA.

It doesn't help that during the test period I saw a Mist Lynx using its LAA as it ran circles around me but perhaps it is an intermittent issue with players.

IMO though it was re-enabled because certain people have a hatin for ACs -.-

Some of my lance-mates have had an issue with randomly overheating as well (not firing weapons or moving).

Kinda funny them picking on you for the ghost heat thing. Of course they all have research teams combing the net, Reddit, Twitter and Hidden posts 20 pages in informing them of these important details.

Your poor and cannot afford a research team or 40 hours combing the internet.

So STFU!

It does disable the LAA when a Ballistic or PPC is used, the problem from what I understand is that it either disabled that function, allowing LAA to be used, or disabled LAA on every mech.

The problem was that regardless of having an AC/2 of any kind, somehow through the magic of lostech coding all Clan 'Mechs lost lower arm actuator function. Heck, you didn't even have to OWN an AC/2. No ghost heat for AC/2s, NO LOWER ARM ACTUATORS FOR YOU, CLAN PIG.

Please note that both sets of code are all PGI work. Ghost heat is all Paul, and there wasn't a Clan construction system until well past beta.

An easy way to test the Ghost heat removal, would be to set the number of AC2's required to trigger it to say, 16 with a fire interval of 600 seconds or something.
