No offense, but shouldn't this go in the Guides Forum?

No, as that's a battlemechs specific subforum, with guides to building and piloting mechs.

While this thread has elements of that, it is more a general collection of short guides to the game, systems, etc, focused on the new player unfamiliar with MWO (or veterans unfamiliar with certain changes) ,so New Player Help is more fitting than Battlemechs Guides.

Quite possibly though - as my XP guide has been moved over there (and back again!) several times

In other words it really depends on which mod you ask
Some say that guides is for mechs - other say that the subforums under guides are for mechs.

v-sinc is always a resource eater, it makes the screen a bit smoother but puts an additional strain on your pc

Honestly, yes. I keep wanting to - I've just been crazy busy in the last few months... and quite possibly in the next few months.
