That's it I'm not buying and more Mechs or Packs, I've spent enough as it is...........Meanwhile PGI puts together another Mech Pack......He/She sees it and hands start to shake, their mouths start to salivate, I've just got to have it as he/she frantically reaches for their wallet with the credit card inside.
Says to him/her self this will be the last one I'll just get Mechs for C-bills only from now on.......Meanwhile those Very Evil people at PGI put together another Mech Pack..................

Fair Dinkum worse than a damn drug addiction but a testament to the very talented people at PGI for making a great game with great looking and performing mechs and some great looking maps as he bites his fingernails to the bone wondering what's coming next and can he afford it lol.
So everyone what do you think is the game like a drug to you that you can't get enough of it?

I've moved to rewarding good behavior.

I sadly, missed out on Phoenix, but given the things that were going on back then, I don't feel TOO bad about it.

But yeah, there is a general feeling of "Hey kid, wanna get some mechs?" by some shady guy in a trenchcoat in an alleyway with the PGI mechpacks... and there are those of us, who will line up, time and again, to get these things.

it's kinda funny really. Hell I don't even LIKE the Urbie, and I bought the 40 dollar pack!

I wait for the c-bill variants till game play / balance /MM are improved. I like what the game could be, Not what it is, And I cant justify paying for something that's been here so long and still has such fundamental fatal flaws.

No addiction here.

Yet from what I hear some of these issues have been here since beta and still not fixed.

And some they made worse

Example the matchmaker already had problems with balanced teams 8v8 due to low player base

So they decided to make it worse and create more mis matches with 12v12.

@Bishop

How often I play doesn't help PGI they want my money in a nutshell and they ain't getting it while the games broken . I've spent thousands on online games if I deem them worthy of it.

I will admit I've given pgi $5 in what a year of playing ? I just cant justify money for a pvp game with glaringly obvious balance issues and MM issues. As I keep saying these are fundamental above all other concerns (core of pvp) Without them you have nothing , And will never attract a big chunk of the pvp gamers. Which is already a small market opposed to pve.

I'd pay for Endo unlocks for my clan mechs and extra energy hard points on the summoner prime torsos. You know, stuff that would make the mechs I already have usable.

There's more than one kind of addiction.

PGI tends to only get 20 bucks on the packs from me since Clan Wave 1. I feel like I have enough mechs and I do it for the doodads and trinkets.

Gaming is my drug, but lately MWO is just not doing it for me. No feeling of rush, not nothing. Guess it is time to get back to my old habit--League of Legends ranked queue.

^needs better competition. MM is hard yo. overly good or overly bad opponents make boring and/or frustrating games.

I keep telling myself not to spend money in the game.

Then I told myself not to spend more money than I would normally on a AAA game.

And... unfortunately I broke both rules.

It's more of a gaming addiction than anything... and there is an odd sense of "ownership" in this game when you buy the 'mechs that you crave. I actually have some mixed feelings of the game. Some days, I just get so frustrated that I pull the plug and literally uninstall it... and then I keep finding myself reinstalling it. Something does keep bringing me back, and it does feel like an addiction.

If I could get the weight loss that comes with drug addiction from MWO I'd be quite happy.
