You need to give us a better description of the upcoming battle when we are in que. I need to know whether it is a defense or counter attack as this dictates what mechs I use. I am tired of getting a defense game and when I get in game it is a counter attack and I am not even in the ball park. It is like going to a formal with blue jeans on I am so out of sync I should not even be there. In a real scenario I would never be going into a situation without the proper Intel. What you have done so far is great it just needs to go farther.

At first I thought this too, but after considering it, I came to the conclusion that this would lead to boring gameplay. I would set up a drop deck for "attack", one for "defense" and one for "counter-attack", as would everyone else. So we'd all be using the same mechs, in the same battles, over and over - no thanks.
While tougher, now we have to balance mechs against what we think will happen, less specific setups, more general setups that have to do multiple things. Kind of making you think, more of a hard-mode, so I vote we leave it as-is.

The game tells you if you're doing an attack/counter attack/defend mission once it finishes building the team. Look at the 15 zones, it will indicate an attack or defend mission.

If you're dropping as a 12 man, this info is visible to the team lead. What if you are not. Should this not be available to all players in the drop? Which are which then?

+1 OP, having 1 min to quickly change up your drop dec to satisfy the map and phase is ridiculous not to mention the evil drop dec bug where sometimes yoru dec doesnt save and your stuck with a completely screwed up dec for a certain map or phase

I think the information is available as soon as possible. More time would result in a longer wait. However, I think being able to save multiple drop decks would help.

I set up my dropdecks based off which map I'll be dropping on, whether I'm on attack or defense, and whether or not the expected opposition has a certain tactic I need to counter.
The last one you don't really know unless you've already dropped a couple times and recognize certain groups and tactics.
All the other ones, such as knowing which map you'll be on, and which side you'll be playing on, is available to you before you before you drop in game, and yes, 1min is plenty of time to complete switch all 4 mechs in your drop deck and/or correct a dropdeck reset before you launch.
