Seems like it to me. I'm trying to force turns and keep from overshooting.

Could be that they nerfed the turn rate for heavies and assaults.

i noticed that legs to torso hotkey now overshoots on heavies and asaults. ( works fine on my jenny) Can only happen if torso twisting has been bufed or leg turn has been nerfed.

But to be honest with how prevalent the heavy mechs are i've always felt like they needed a maneuverability nerf. Assaults probably didnt need it as much

The legs to torso align hotkey really behaves strange now for me. Annoying!

I noticed it when I started using the "align to torso" button, that sets your legs to where your crosshair was last pointing, and there is some kind of counter turning effect on your crosshair.

Before the patch, when you would align to legs, your crosshair would stay tracked exactly where you were pointing.

Maybe its groundwork for the Urbanmech's 360 degree turning and they had to change some of the code?
Thats my guess.

It makes keeping my aim on something during a sharp turn a little easier for me..
Shrug..

The center legs to torso is definitely slower.......and a bit annoying.

Do you have amrlock turned on? It seems if you had armlock turned on, your torso turn rates are absolutely awful now. I quit playing altogether as it was very noticieable in my BJ-1X...it twists slower than an atlas with arms locked.

My Panther feels like it turns slower than most mediums right now, so I don't think it's just a heavy/assault thing (assuming it's actually a thing).

No, but I have had a bit of FPS stuttering lately, mainly on Crimson.

it seems like the latest patch now causes the Mech to have half its Twist-Speed,

=TEST=
Forest Colony, Test1
-WHK looked fully right then fully left and timed it,
-with Arm lock on 7-8 seconds / with arm lock off 3-4 seconds,
Forest Colony, Test2
-Nova looked fully right then fully left and timed it,
-with Arm lock on 8-9 seconds / with arm lock off 4-5 seconds,
Forest Colony, Test2

Forest Colony, Test3
-LCT-1V looked fully right then fully left and timed it,
-with Arm lock on 6-7 seconds / with arm lock off 2-3 seconds,

did the tests several times on several maps and had the same results,

Since the patch that brought "FPS improvement" two weeks ago I get strange stuttering at random times while my FPS counter stays green at 60 the whole time.

So instead of Unlocking the arms, you just quit playing? Hmmm interesting thought process there. I just hope you never get your arms locked in real life. Quitting it, can be a real beeeatch... :)

Well we would need multiple testers with multiple different Mouse setups. I will test my WHK tonight with my Mouse. 7-8s sounds...off. Were you moving or standing still during the Tests.

i hope its not a stealth nerf to 3rd person because i use it :(

edit: it seems to be a bug that affects armlock, since 3pv is arm locked its also affected. Also the center torso to legs is also bugged and is being worked on. This bug will soon be patched hopefully.

OKAY. I thought I was going crazy...My Cicada (all torso weapons) definitely felt sluggish last night...

Something's going on...

...PS, maybe I'm a glutton for punishment but I kind of hope there was a nerf...I just wish it were documented! I'm all for slow, hulky monsters...

PGI is working to get a hot fix out for this. There are several threads in the Patch Feedback forum about this problem.

Man, I am glad it was acknowledged I thought I just suddenly sucked. I could not bring my toros weapons to bare in close in, tight turning brawls worth a damn last night and was about to start some rigorous re-training.
