Given the amount of fury that the current rules of Skirmish generates (found
here,
here and
here), specifically with regards to the time a "last man standing" situation can take up, would it be possible to look into changing the victory conditions so that the time-pressed belly-achers don't get their knickers in quite so much of a twist?
Possible solutions are:
- Reduce the time or numbers down, to 10 minutes or first team to 10 kills (or similar).
or, a personal favorite but a bit trickier to put in place.
- The team with the most kills, 30 seconds since the last shot that has done damage, wins.
Both formats encourage quicker game play than the current mode, creating a quick melee situation rather than the slower battle-royal of Conquest and Assault, so would provide a fast-fix alternative for time-pressed mech-warriors.
