Put an icon over a mech that is persistent for the entire match so you can locate a friendly mech in seconds.

Greetings,

We already have the Lance HUD function that indicates what grid each 'Mech is in.

- Russ indicated that the future updates to the HUD may start to include:

~ 'once targeted and id'd of an Enemy 'Mech, all Friendlies will have that 'Mech and stats 'saved'.
(if in normal comms or target info range, no blocks from ECM or environment.)
- No longer needing the time delay to acquire the target or spec's when found again.

- Updated info on Friendlies/Enemy as part of the 'quick orders wheel'.
( but that element has been 'back seated' for a while as other items have taken priority.)

And lots of suggestions for additions to the Command Console,
- specifically, listed info on all 'known' 'Mechs as they are targeted.
(something similar to what we see in the 'Dev.' Spectator mode, side bar with all known 'Mechs listed.)

Your probably looking for something like the older games had, with direction to 'Nav Points' or 'Objectives' could be selected and the compass always displayed what direction it was. Or are you looking for a 'floating' icon to appear over the 'Mech head? (that would be part of the 'attack/defend/escort' my target style of command orders, due 'sometime'.)

So there will be quite a bit more elements and visual indicators present, just need time for there implementation.

Note here: Hold 'Q' key and the entire teams location and info appears while held. Need to look around to see it's direction, but it's there.

Aim True and Run Cool,

None of the things you mention are really persistent and require button presses to enable E.T.C. If the already in game features were sufficient I would not need to make this suggestion.

To further illustrate my point try finding yourself in this image of the already ingame UI features

Posted ImageI thought not

Now find yourself in this mock up of a persistent icon over a mech
Posted ImageIt's so easy it's like getting hit by lightning in a 10 meter tall mech.
