I use narc on my kitfoxes to paint targets for LRMs. However, I don't get anything when something other than missiles kill that target.

Countless situations when i mark that D-DC or HBR and LRMs start to tear them apart to the point that they are nearly dead. they take cover and an evil f*ing jenner or firestarter finish it off with a small laser. the Lurmer gets most damage reward... the jenner gets the killing blow reward and I which was the ONLY and ONLY reason behind that kill, get the finger reward.

in short. give something to the narc user if most damage is done by LRMs while painted by narc.

Mostly unrelated I know. Though it's true, I think a NARC user should get something for the effort.

It's a lot harder to hit a target at 270 meters or less than it is to stand still and point with a laser at 750 meters.

So yeah, but the nice thing is NARC means you'll never lose the target even if you can't see it (even with radar derp), meaning you can stay locked the entire time even as they pass behind buildings until you can see them again, ready to fire instantly.

That's why I use NARC for my Streaks instead of bap when possible.

With BAP, if they slip behind a building I lose my target, have to relock and against ECM users, that can sometimes take several seconds of trying (and failing) when chasing something fast. All that time, all that potential damage to be dealt, simply lost.

Does NARC make the streaks more accurate?

The rewards for NARCing got a huge nerf when rewards were redone. It should give a bonus similar to spotting.

No.

The RNG-nature of the Streaks remains exactly the same.

NARC is a great thing these days... after years in the shadow I have to add.

NARC rewards and rewards in general are not.

Yeah I wish NARC and TAG can get better rewards. They do dangerous things, should get rewarded better.

Off-topic, I can't wait for MRMs to become available.

Good spotters should be rewarded better. Scouting enemy movement the whole time rewards less than doing damage, although it might be match-winning.
