Ok, here are the issues and steps I have been through.

1. Downloaded install package.
2. Install completes.
3. Upon launch immediate crash after the mechwarrior online logo comes up.

Attempted fix.
1. Uninstalled.
2. Cleaned everything.
3. Deleted folder.
4. Reinstalled fresh, with the account creation section.
5. Install completes.
6. Crashes immediately after logo comes up.

Attempted fix 2.
1. Ran MWO Repair tool. Crashes within about 30 seconds.
2. Contacted via support ticket, sent DX DIAG and computer specifications.
3. they gave me the same run down, completed suggestions.
4. Client crashes after logo shows up, issue not resolved through support ticket.

Computer Specifications:
Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
Q660 Quadcore 2.4 ghz
3 gigs of ram, 6 gigs with virtual memory
Nvidia 9800GT with driver 341 (newest)

Ok, so whats the problem, and how do I fix it? No errors thrown, cannot use directed patcher, cannot use the "-nopatch" option.

Try reinstalling DirectX? I think there's some other software you could install/reinstall, but i don't remember which.

Directx 9 & 11 are differant and not compatable from a Game Stand point. The Good News is they can both be installed on a System without any side effects. Windows 7 only came with Directx 11 installed. So you will have to install Directx 9c. Link to the Microsoft site below

Wolf74 is correct. I just bought a new machine and had to install DX 9 to get the game to run, but I got an error that told me to do that. I am worried that your computer may be thrashing. Thrashing is when the computer spends an unsuitably large amount of time transferring pages to and from a backing store like virtual memory. MWO minimum requirements are 4 GB of RAM with a recommended of 8 GB. I went out to look and MWO in the Mechlab is at 3.2. Also the minimum cpu is Duo 2.66 with a recommended of quad at 3.3 . I think you may need a slightly beefer machine. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Edit because I can't type.

You could try right clicking the shortcut, and click on Runs As Administrator.

Also, if you do a reinstall, make sure to run the installer and the MWO shortcut with Admin privileges.

1.. Direct X 9.0 Attempted installation from the link given.
FAILED: "Direct x has determined that a newer or equivilent version of Direct X is installed and this installation is not necessary"

2. I play and Beta tested WOT, ***, WOShips. My setup is fine and I can run all three games on the highest setting with no less than 30 frames per second. On lower settings (medium high) I can get it up to 112 frames per second. So my machine here is not the issue. As for thrashing, That usually only happens when the paged set of data in the virtual memory is nearly full. Not trying to sound like a jerk. But if I can manage those three games, in closed beta and open play upon release without any lag during play in all regular battles for hours at a time I am certain I meet the requirement.

Currently looking for a force able install of Direct X 9. Microsoft techs from the site say I cannot downgrade or force install direct x 9 on 11. Another one of them says I can, and now I have started a Microsoft tech forum fight on their web site.

Running SFC /Scannow.
Waiting For Result: While waiting I found this thread where someone else started a Microsoft tech fight on the same forum over the exact same thing. The forum fight ends with no replys and no real answer. I attempted all the former fixes for installing direct x 9 on the site and none of them worked.
RESULTS OF SFC SCAN: "Windows did not find any integrity violations"

Went to check compatibility with Windows 7 to ensure this product, MechWarrior Online is compatible, yes it is and this is the linked result of that.
http://www.microsoft...pOsid=Windows+7

The file hippo download of Direct X9 only leads to a prompt to download malware and other trojans and to hand over money for no reason.

HERE IS THE REAL LINK TO THE FILE FOR DX 9 SETUP: http://www.filehippo...1c66a550abc588/
HERE IS THE REAL INSTRUCTION FOR USING IT: Start it, Make folder on desktop to dump it in, open folder find exe, run it, everything should go fine. It did for me.

TESTING MECHWARRIOR ONLINE TO DETERMINE IF THIS HAS WORKED!

FAILED: Direct X 9 not the issue. Possible bad or corrupted install file is loaded on your server.

If the above is not true, Whats next?

I am afraid to say that it looks like you need a whole new system. I was there too so I know how frustrating it can be.

Check out the latest posts in this thread, and we can try to give you some advice to build a rig here and you post a new topic here to get feedback.

Edit: fixing link

Two things came to Mind.

1st Goto the Mechwarrior online folder and upload the omicron.log File see what Error is Listed in it.
2nd Make sure your Adobe Flash & Java installs are Up to date.

(Don't forget to Uncheck that Useless McAfee Security suit bundle)

your quad core is fine. My old system ran MWO and it had a Q6600 and an 8800GTS with 512 mb of memory. If DX9 doesn't work, it's probably that you need more ram. My old system had 12 gb, yours only has 3 gb. virtual ram means on the hard disk and is slower than regular ram. Otherwise, depending on how much you want to play this game, it may be time for a new system. Also, how much memory is on your video card?

Ok Found what I was Looking for the today. I could not remember the other night if the FE (Front End) of the Game was in Flash or JAVA. It is Flash, SO make sure your Flash is Up to date. When you update Flash they will try to install McAfee Security which Could disable anyother security software you may have already setup & running which is why I suggested you Uncheck the Box from Adobe Updater/installer which would install that unwanted software (99.99% of the time it is unwanted)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Ok, I have 1024 card memory. If 3 gigs ram will run World Of War Ships, then it will run this as well.
Flash is up to date.
Java is up to date.

I talked to someone who is using windows xp 32 bit, and they can play this game, they even showed me them playing it over video chat live. Something is up here. AND TELLING ME TO UNINSTALL FIREWALLS AND VIRUS SCANNERS, is not the answer here.

Something is up. Perhaps the download installation package's settings are way to high. You never release a game package with everything set to the highest settings.

This is driving me nuts, this is the download right here with specs right on it.

ISSUE APPEARS RESOLVED.

FIPS COMPLIANCE IS NOT APPLICABLE TO THIS GAME OR ITS SERVERS!

SHUT OFF FIPS, GAME STARTS UP AND BEGINS PATCHING AS PER NORMAL!

WAITING TO SEE IF THE GAME WILL RUN!

MWO... running on a 1 gig card with 3 gigs RAM?

Holy crap, don't tell PGI they'll think their need to optimize the game is done (and my god does it still need a lot of streamlined optimizations; thankfully they finally got smart and learned Scaleform code is Bad for performance in an already CPU-intensive game that has to make a lot of 'predictions' to counter for the server authoritative environment.)

Well, it is 6 gigs virtual memory. Hm.
