Using some rudimentary Google SCIENCE:

(searches only the MWO forums for the word "WUB", with a Julian date range between 01/01/2012 - 24/03/2015, and using date results to sort oldest to newest)

The earliest (deliberate - there was some weird forums tag : wub : polluting results that I couldn't make Google ignore) occurrence of the word "wub" I could find was from our very own ALISTAIR WINTER:
