I'm currently debating upgrading my main gaming rig's monitor. (I've been torn b/w BenQ TN and waiting on the latest IPS low GTG monitor to come out)

I just watched a Linus Tech Tips on both these 2 3440 monitors and want to know if any one is sporting one of them and if how they perform with MWO.

Current Rig: I7-3770k 4.2GHZ oc, MSI Z77 Mpower, 32 G 8-8-8-24 Ballistic tracer, MSI 970 GTX oc, Samsung 32' EH500.

Monitor one is:
LG 34UM95 IPS 5ms monitor

Monitor two is:
Samsung S34E790C Curved Screen.

If anyone owns and is using, I would love to hear impressions running MWO.

Torn b/w the real estate of these 2 versus size limited 120-144hz 1msTN panels from BenQ and the Rogue.

Not a clue about either, so sorry I can't help, but I can say in general, the stats comparison isn't going to tell you everything, and for the most part, you won't be able to tell the difference most of the time. As for other options...

Get a BenQ W1070 projector. Then you get to be in the mech. 9.5 foot screen (wall) and I sit about 6 feet from it. The experience is intense. Performs very well. Unless you are a hyper-fixated pixel pusher, I think either of those monitors should be up to the task. Generally, they won't have any kind of latency issues that a projector might, and mine really has none that I can tell.

Can we get someone to move this into the Hardware and Accessories topic?

OP, in the future if you wish to talk about hardware, please post in this section:

Thanks for the suggestion Dino. And you're correct Scout, I realized I posted in the wrong place after I had hit post.

the lg 34 is a great monitor but my vidoe card cant drive to what it can do.

MWO will only go to 2/3 of the screen. LG has a great screen splitter software download. I run MWO on half and surf on second half or 2/3. when match comes up it does lock the cursor to the MWo frame until you click again.

MWO cant live up to 3000plus widescreen

if you can go with curved
at 34 you do notice a tunnel effect viewing it on the lg unless you lean back

The LG 34UM95 works perfectly fine with Mechwarrior and looks pretty damn good. I would highly recommend a GTX 780 minimum though due to the 3440x1440 resolution.

Thank you Raid, Flap, and Uller. I'm running a MSI GTX 970 oc. I should be able to drive the LG with it, but can always get another 970 in SLI if it can't.

Appreciate the feedback and thanks!
