It would be nice to be able to have a two stage group fire mechanic;

Example, 6 Medium Lasers set to one group whereby you select which fire on the a click of one mouse button assignment.

You could set it so that first 3 fire on the first click and then the second group of 3 fires on the second click, and it rotates from there.

Primary reasons for this:
  • Ghost Heat Mitigation
  • Unable to afford a multiple button mouse
  • easier to configure single key chain fire mechanics
  • As mentioned below, possible build variety instead of two main weapon groups
Well, that's the idea.

I'd just like for chain fire to work properly for ballistics and missles, and for firing one group to not break chain fire in another.

Ofcourse we need this. Would chainfire my SRM4x4 battery to fire two launchers, but now I have to make seperate weapon groups and use more buttons.

I think this would also encourage mech build variety and use in a new style.

I've wanted this for my CDA-3A since forever. I'd love to have groups that fire the 6 MLs in pairs, in threes, and all six at once.

This has been discussed extensively before, but merits keeping alive.
