- Download and run the PTS installer (if a previous install of the PTS Client is not already present on your system).
- Run the MechWarriorOnline.exe, located in your C:Program Files (x86)\MWO Public Test\MechWarrior Online\Bin32 folder (default install location)
- Click the Patch button
- Accept the Terms of Use
- The PTS Client will then proceed to download the MWO install base, which is roughly 7 GB in size.
- Once the Install Base has been downloaded and installed, the launcher will then download and apply two small patches.
- Once the patches are downloaded and installed, you should now have access to the Play button.
- Click Play!

Do you have a previous install of the MWO Public Test already on your machine?
Check the default folder, C:\Program Files (x86)\MWO Public Test\MechWarrior Online\Bin32
If you do have an existing install, you'll only need to run the standard MechWarriorOnline.exe from the Bin32 folder. You'll be able to apply the Mechlab patch.

Not entirely certain what this is referring to. Did you get this message when trying to apply the Patch from the PTS launcher? Can you provide a screenshot of this message?

It doesn't say I do. And I'm pretty sure I don't. The only execution files I'm seeing in that particular directory is BootStrapSential.exe, MechwarriorOnline.exe, MWOClient.exe, MWOPatcher.exe,MWORepairTool.exe

Take super ultra careful care when going through these steps.
- Bring up your Start Menu
- Search for and run 'regedit'
- Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- Expand SOFTWARE
- Expand PIRANHA GAMES
- Expand MECHWARRIOR ONLINE
- If you see a PUBLIC TEST entry, right-click it and select Delete
- Confirm that you want to delete the PUBLICTEST entry (double and triple-check to make sure that you selected/chose the PUBLICTEST folder!)
- Attempt to install PTS client now

Setup failed!
One or more issues caused the setup to fail.
In the log file, I found the following errors:
Error 0x80070643: Failed to install MSI package.
Error 0x80070643: Failed to execute MSI package.
Error 0x80070643: Failed to configure per-machine MSI package.
Error 0x80070643: Failed to execute MSI package.
There's more in the log file, but those are the only errors I found.

Run through the RegEdit steps above and let me know if that resolves the error.

When I push create new user or www.mwomercs.com it does nothing. When I push credits it sends me to my profile, and when I push forgot password it tells me "unknown failure".

This is a bit of a strange one.
Just to confirm, this issue persists after closing down the client and re-opening it? There are some occasional issues with button behavior in this build, and a client restart will usually restore proper functionality to the buttons.
Did you already have an old install of the PTS client on your system?
If you haven't already done so, can you run the Repair Tool client for the PTS client from inside the C:\Program Files (x86)\MWO Public Test\MechWarrior Online\Bin32 folder?

Yeah had an old cilent and just had to reinstall. Took me a day and a half considering I left it to reinstall from yesterday afternoon all the way to today and it works finally.
It didn't work even after opening and closing the console, and even after I ran the repair tool, still the same, so had to redownload entirely.
Thanks anyway though sir.
