Credit to Sean Lang for streaming his hour of fiddling around on the PTS - I just grabbed screenshots of his stream since I haven't gotten around to installing the PTS myself yet. I'll try to keep the suggestions as concise as possible, with images as necessary. Possibly more to come, so check for replies later, perhaps after I've run the PTS myself.

Mech naming:
Is the "Mech name changed successfully" dialogue box really necessary? Let's remove it.

Weapon info popup/hover
I don't think you can view weapon info/stats from the Warehouse - you're forced to equip it onto your mech before you can hover over it to view the weapon stats.

Weapon stats are not affected by quirks. I suggest that quirked stats are shown in parenthesis after the base stat (green if improved, red if worsened)

Dragging distance is excessive.

Special equipment icons/sprites are not intuitive.

Improving the omnipod filter:
If I want to change my right torso, I have to click to activate right torsos, but all the other omnipods (clutter that I don't want to see when I'm looking for right torsos) still show up. I'd like to see this behaviour changed so that clicking the button shows only those omnipods and no others.

Could also add a row of checkboxes that inherit the "filter on/off" behaviour, and a "Show all/none" button that enables/disables all filters with one click.

woupsie typo: inherent -> inherit*

The drag distance would not be so bad if we could just double-click to equip. However, we do need some sort of UI scaling. At 1080 the text is tiny. Someone posted a picture at 4k and it was darn near microscopic.

I support all these ideas.

I fully support all of these issues. This kind of polish is, at least, what we expect to happen between the PTS and the first release. So, PGI, give them priority, please!

First of all big improvement with the new mech lab. I agree with this post on the points it makes. Some ideas for solutions. Either move the mech to the far right of the screen or just to the right of the "configure" column with the warehouse right next to the mech locations. Especially in column view his drag distance is huge. I also agree that the weapons popups need to indicate mech quirks and even installed modules in their information. We should not have to paper and pen down information on quirks and modules and figure our own new stats. The mechlab should do this for us.
