I haven't seen Laio take a Davion world in days.

Combination of things. The new mechanic makes taking a world harder. Davion numbers have rebounded, and they're sending significant numbers to our front, we routinely are outnumbered 2 or 3 to one. Burnoit from Tuk, plus this weekend's event focusing on PUG queue.

The new mechanic is a big part of it, they exploit it because our faction doesn't have the numbers. There is even a post on the Davion forums complaining about the new mechanic because they had several 12 mans, but only 1 12 man was able to get an attack, the rest got defend/hold territory matches.

I think that now that you guys are able to focus on the Dav front now too it should help. We've been stuck just trying to hold space the last week due to the Davs throwing everything at us. Operation Bro grab lives (once the weekend challenge ends tho).

If only 1 12 man team is attacking a planet, it takes 20 drops to get it past the 50% mark. I guess this is what PGI wants: a Low population with no map changes.

Do we even need to defend planets anymore? I think if we don't it just discourages people from attacking, and suddenly, our planets are no longer under attack, and somehow become impregnable fortresses, since no one is guarding them. Logic fail FTW.

Once people saw the mechanic in action at Tukayyid, they predicted that would be exactly what happened. The best way to defend a planet is to NOT defend it, because only the most determined 12 man is going to sit for 3-4 hours in queue just to get their tags on a planet that means nothing.
