Hello MechWarriors!

The community has been working together to re-create the Champion 'Mech Builds by submitting their own recommended builds!

Now that these threads are locked, you have 1 more day to vote for your favorite build on the Champion 'Mechs Re-Build threads!
By Wednesday May 13th, at 3PM PDT, we will be collecting the top 3 most 'Liked' builds from each thread.

Next, we will be creating Polls for each Champion 'Mech with the options to vote between the top 3 most liked builds!
The highest voted builds will be the final winners and later be implemented in-game!

So work together and pick your votes wisely!

Wow, it's actually a pretty sweet deal, though this time I'll pass. The Resistance 2 collection is too laser heavy, thus too boring for my taste.

Anyone else finding the links to Smurfy are failing to load correctly?

Edit: Griffin specifically seems to have issues.

Also Wolverine

Edit edit: Rebooted Windows, links work now. Yay modern technology.

Why did this only show up in the "news" once topics were locked?

Rats, I just found this. I would have liked to have the opportunity to post my builds. How come it only finds it's way into the Announcements after the fact?

Also, Smurfy links aren't working on first click, but if you refresh the page, then the builds load correctly.

I'm a bit worried about that proposed (and until now, top voted) trail Splatcat... really hard build for a new player, and the Catapult is so sexy that everyone will want to try it!

If you share my worries, go vote!

Great work to everyone who submitted a design. The only thing that I hope for is that the people voted fairly on which builds they liked most and didn't turn this into a popularity contest.

I wasn't even aware that this was going on ...

I just did a search for "rebuild" and "community rebuild" and you know what? I can't even find any sort of reference to a thread in the Announcements section of the forum, or pinned in general discussion that might indicate that this process was even taking place (though I might have missed it). The only reference I have found in Announcements is "Oh the threads are now locked.".

I don't look at the developer outreach section of the forum regularly.

What is worse ... I have looked over the builds in some of the threads and some could use improvements. This makes me think that perhaps I am not alone in being completely oblivious to this redesign effort.

In general, I think it is a great idea to redesign the champion mechs to make them more fun and more competitive ... hopefully there will be some worth voting for.

It's a great thing that these rebuilds are being done. It was started about a week ago.

I'd strongly suggest keeping an eye on the developer outreach forum. They've actually asked for some strong feedback from the community on things and are also explaining other aspects to us. It's very much worth the time and effort to look at the topics and keep tabs on them.

Also, from the front page there's been a sub-forum section under the Developer Outreach for the Champion Mech Rebuilds since it started. Again, it's a section of the forums worth keeping an eye on.
